Spring in the Arizona desert (where I'm visiting right now).

That is gorgeous! I have only been through a desert once and it was the middle of winter. It was very beautiful, but to think of all that color!

Thanks Aldistar - I found it magical. This was my first time in Arizona and I just fell in love with it. The landscape is so varied. In northern Arizona it's rocky and mountainous and the hillsides are covered with pine trees and then 100 miles south it's cactuses and flat desert and both are so beautiful in their own way.
I just kept thinking of 's' words - silence, space, serenity...it made me feel very peaceful. I can't wait to have the opportunity to go back again.
A woman I met there told me that in late April or May, all the seguaros (the tall cactuses in the picture) will bloom with big white flowers that have a yellow center.

Yellowstone National Park has many wonders.

Yeah...I remember walking next to that bubbling ooze and getting smacked for worrying my folks.

Autumn will be there soon ... a squirrel in neighbour's garden
