As the seasons change, lighting conditions change, shadows lengthen and shorten, flowers and wildlife come and go, and the mood changes. How do you evoke various seasons in your photography? Do you vary your technique?

Four brand-new albums have just been added to the gallery. They are devoted to your impressions of the seasons.
http://www.able2know.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=47 Autumn
http://www.able2know.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=48 Spring
http://www.able2know.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=49 Winter
http://www.able2know.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=50 Summer

Or, you can post your favorite seasonal photographs here. I hope you'll share your seasonal photographic impressions, ambitions, techniques and ideas. Thank you.

lovely idea - I've added some, just awaiting approval

I don't like the cold but visually the light is much more interesting when the sun is lower isn't it? I find summer light too flat and boring - but I do like the warmth.

I know what you mean. One thing about winter - since I like color, it's hard to find colors other than grey or white sometimes. The red shovel worked out nicely; I've found that people's coats can, too, to break up all that whiteness.

yes. painting is easier in a way - the eye can see all the subtle variations in whites and greys that cameras don't quite catch - i find that constantly on grey days at the coast, in actual fact the sea is a mix of incredibly subtle colours but the camera just records grey,

Like most of the previous years, I did forget to take some really autumn photos, whicj I truely would have liked to do.
(And by now, nearly all leaves are gone ...)

This one http://www.able2know.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10045/Herbs-Zeit%20%28Uhrenturm%2C%20Dahlheim%29.jpg%20a.jpg
was taken during the visit of Mrs. and Steve (as 41oo) a couple of days ago.

The next one is about 3 weeks old now:

Good idea, Jespah. Will post some when I get my scanner at work in gear again. (It keeps disappearing, heh, even though still connected to the usb port.)

travelling home last winter - we don't generally get much snow so it only takes a couple of inches to cause chaos on the roads.

last summer:

this autumn, taken on a painting holiday with friends a couple of weeks back (Brancaster Staithe in Norfolk):

I'm having trouble (I'm a lil foggy this AM) getting them small enough, I'll see if I can work on them this weekend or next.

Beautiful, just a beautiful poppy!

Some photos from last week:

this one is taken in the 'Sauerland', a mountain region south of us (the mountains are about 800 meters high = 2600 feet):

I had to be at my mother's very early on Wednesday. And since it was a beautiful morning, I drove some smaller roads:
