The sock disappearance thing has long puzzled me, too. But lately I've been trying to figure out how a seemingly harmless piece of machinery, designed to wash ones clothes, manages to tear buttons off my shirts and send them hurtling through the fabric of my T-shirts, not to mention my socks.

Any thoughts on this, Auntie?

Though I fail to get this paying for people thing - I have always paid for me - I was discussing this just today, with a friend with two daughters in their twenties - they always pay for themselves, too - so it is not just a generational thing - it is an ATTITUDE thing! I mean - if you see a lot of someone, people might take it in turns, or buy for someone on a special occasion - but...well, I just don't GET it...

Capybaras are sweet - it is not the smell of capybara which concerns me....it is the scent of corruption.....

Did I not do enough by inviting you here, Gus?
