Gus, I disagree (and agree with ebrown.) For a whole lot of people watching Kerry, it's the first time they've been able to see him speak without a filter; a collection of clips showing him making Vietnam references, say. I think that simple fact had a lot to do with the impact of the debates. People who had only seen spin got to see Kerry unspun, and a lot of 'em said, hey, he's not that bad.
I am SO gonna watch this debate. I had actual nightmares about it last night. -sigh- I think it's really huge, poised to capitalize on the gains of the first debate or nullify them.
Charges rejected against Michael Moore
<delted accidental reply>
Yeah, the way of the debate is not that perfect. But what is the best way of electing a president, Phoenix? You seem surrealistic.
As for me, I think the debate would be a nice inspiration to understand Kerry and Bush and our own mindset.
There is one thing that I would prefer to a debate between Kerry and Bush...
...Anyone remember celebrity boxing?
Screech would kick the cheerleader's behind!!
Oh yeah! I wouldn't miss it for the world.

I don't expect much different, but will watch the whole 90 minutes of charges and countercharges anyway. It is the only way one can calibrate what is said about the debate here.
I don't expect much to be different either, but I hope we can atleast get a few laughs like the last one.
It's not important what the candidates say. What's important is what the analysts say the candidates said. There's no point, then, in watching the debates: it's the post-debate analysis that matters most.

Count on it!
Then you can also laugh at the partisan spin of what you saw with your own eyes and heard with your own ears.

That's a very valid point, Joe.

Particularly in politics.
don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows
what the hell Dys, as long as we're there:
Come you masters of war
You that build all the guns
You that build the death planes
You that build all the bombs
You that hide behind walls
You that hide behind desks
I just want you to know
I can see through your masks.
You that never done nothin'
But build to destroy
You play with my world
Like it's your little toy
You put a gun in my hand
And you hide from my eyes
And you turn and run farther
When the fast bullets fly.

Well, I seen a Cadillac window uptown
And there was nobody aroun',
I got into the driver's seat
And I drove 42nd Street
In my Cadillac.
