@TheCobbler,
The republicans got their health care bill shut down, because it would have increased the uninsured by 24 million. Not many politicians of today would survive such a dismantling of their health care.

Hillary Clinton had a good Plan to Fix Obamacare

@TheCobbler,
Cobbler, if Hillary Clinton had the cure for all cancers, a cure for Altheimers and a cost free way to lift people out of poverty, we would still hear from those block heads who hate her with a white hot passion just because she exists and has the temerity to offer her skills to solve problems. There are too many people who will never forgive her for her accomplishments. They are too primitive and cling to the notion she's evil, while Trump and his lackeys sell us part and parcel to Vladimir Putin.

@TheCobbler,
Maybe it should have been fixed back when Obama was president. Perhaps when there was a Democrat majority in the Senate.

Well, maybe nobody noticed anything that needed fixing till very recently?

@roger,
If you know the history of the ACA...
The democrats had a 'near' majority in the congress and house because at least one republican jumped the aisle and voted to pass the bill into law.

Well, this one republican DEMANDED things like the single payer option be stripped from the bill or he would NOT vote for it.

THIS is why Obama Care needs repair.

Not because of the democrats and the original state of the bill, but because of what was amended to bring on just enough republicans to get the bill passed in the first place.

So once again if Obama Care has been "hobbled" it was because it would never have passed if democrats had not allowed republicans to meddle and handicap the law from the starting gate. It was either let republicans wreck the law or not get any healthcare bill passed at all.

Obama Care problems are not former President Obama's fault... Obama did not want greedy insurance company concessions. The republicans were needed to pass the bill in the first place and they wreaked havoc and held the bill hostage until they got their greedy insurance company concessions...

Obama Care needs to be fixed back to the way it was before republicans got their greedy hands on the original bill...

So to fix the bill we need to undo that republican influence and the law will be perfect as it was originally written and intended by democrats...

Democrats would have gone MUCH further with Obama Care but because republicans were needed to actually pass the bill into law the bill was watered down considerably...

If there is something 'rotten in Denmark' you can usually trace it back to a republican...

And...

Let's not forget the day that Obama Care was passed and millions of Americans got REAL affordable healthcare insurance.

The tea party "protesters" (probably paid for by Ryan and McConnell) followed John Lewis, Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank and others from the Capitol building across the lawn to the Justice building (I believe it was those buildings). calling them ni**er, fu*king c*nt and fa**ot!

And poor Donald Trump has problems with protesters outside the White House fence in wheelchairs with signs saying, "Please don't let me die without affordable healthcare.".

The bravery of these democrats gives one reason to pause and show them the honest and long overdue respect they deserve!

I have the utmost respect for Nancy Pelosi and her associates!

I have no respect whatsoever for Trump and the republicans. That was long gone many years ago, I would not trust them as far as I can spit.

Another side note in the republican, 'kill affordable healthcare' saga.

How Republicans quietly sabotaged Obamacare long before Trump came into office

@TheCobbler,
I do not question that ACA is in need of repair or improvement. I just find it to be very convenient of the Democrats to notice the problems when they no longer have either house nor the presidency.

I specified majority in Senate. I'm puzzled by your use of the term "near majority".

@glitterbag,
What boggles my mind is that so many support Trump, the racial bigot, scammer, liar, and misogynist.
Compare that to Hillary who has spent most of her life for women (around the world) and children's causes.

Nancy Pelosi turns 75 today. She’s still the most effective leader in Congress.

What with the very narrow window the Democrats had to pass the bill in the first place, and the subsequent obstructionist congress whose other goal, aside from endlessly investigating Hillary Clinton, was the repeal, not the fixing, of Obamacare, it is hardly conceivable that the ACA could have been fixed in the climate of that time. Had the Democrats won the presidency and a majority in congress they would have worked to tweak the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Hillary had pledged to do so during her campaign.

@InfraBlue,
Not to mention, they couldn't have fixed anything without admitting there was something that needed fixing.

Hillary Clinton promised to fix it but they didn't admit there was something that needed fixing. Your assertion is incongruous with the facts.

I thought you were referring to the Democrats whose baby is the ACA.
