Irrational fear of nuclear energy makes an alternative energy course implausible. A rapid government enforced and financed shift from fossil fuel to the other alternatives will cripple our economy and drastically lower our standard of living.

Bill Nye and Al Gore may be happy, but few liberal suburbanites will be.

EDIT: Although Walmart will boom even greater than it is now.

The American public will not stand for the power cuts that liberals want to inflict on the nation.

If we are not allowed to use nuclear or fracked natural gas, then we will return to burning lots of coal.

Your obsession with vague and yet unnamed "GW zealots" is absurd. Why do you care for these mysterious folks so much? You need to address the science of GW, not the spin of it.

What science? The last I paid any attention to Global Warming (which was our discussion on Yahoo years ago) the Global Warming "scientists" had been busted for skewing their data, and there was no interest in unskewing the data and finding out the truth.

I bet if I were to look into the matter again, I'd find that the alleged scientists were still skewing their data.

You were perfectly ok with the ways of Russia post WWII, and they killed 20 million of their own people.

Mr Factual.

Do you hate the US because they kept the USSR and Communism in check?

I don't hate the US anymore than I hate Hitler or PolPot or Syngman Ree or Suharto or Batista or [any of the other US vicious right wing dictators].

I hate the war crimes, the terrorism, the stunning hypocrisy, the gigantic lies that have cost the deaths of tens of millions, the genocides, the conceit, where none should be, the stunning ignorance of the people of a country that is supposed to have a decent education system, the fact that some are willing to murder their own, and you support this, the gook hockey, the myriad rapes by invading hordes of Americans, the ease with which your leaders can support people who slash off women's breasts, peel the skin of people's faces, behead, garrot, dismember alive, have troops/CIA throw folks out of helicopters, your military that carpet bombs, napalms civilians, "shake and bakes" with phosphorus, spreads mines and bomblets for children to play with, ... .

I've forgotten lots more of your benevolence.

True, the NRA has a hold on enough democrats in southern states to keep sensible gun regulations from passing congress.

"Sensible gun regulations" is dogwhistle code that Freedom Haters use for "violating our rights for no reason other than the fun that liberals get from violating rights".

This shows why it is so important to vote for Republicans.

The Left hates the Constitution and means to violate our rights any way they can.

revelette1 wrote:
It is like gun nuts are so afraid of people taking their freedom and guns away they don't want to be sensible and try and come up with solutions instead of just roadblocks to a safer public.

"Sensible" and "solutions". More Freedom Hater dogwhistle code indicating that they like to violate people's civil rights for fun.

More dogwhistles. Every time a liberal wants to commit a civil rights violation, they refer to it as "common sense".

That's because Trump was elected. The Democrats DO want to take guns away from everybody.

Skewing data is the only way they can "legitimize" their science. The "Climate Elite" at the universities and research centers can be compared to the Catholic Church and Martin Luther, if you don't see things the way they do, you will be excommunicated and cast out of the scientific community as a charlatan.

More vicious US war crimes on a daily basis and you are celebrating, as you always do.

I'll bet you have a counter on your wall for how many kids, foreign of course, who are killed and maimed by old and planned US bomblets and mines.

Isn't it ironic that Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 for the things he was going to do while in office... I wonder if drone strikes were accounted for in those bomb numbers?

The Nobel Committee was just throwing a tantrum because they don't like Republicans. It didn't seem to bother them that they debased the Nobel Peace Prize by using it in their political tantrum.

The Nobel Peace Prize 2009 @ Nobel Prize Committee

They awarded the prize because they were throwing a temper tantrum about W.

(Obama actually put a lot of effort into modernizing our bomber nukes.)

"that is being reported" - you all really are that gullible. Not that this is new information.

How long before you heard the news of the US's Cambodian genocide? The Indonesian genocide? The Nicaraguan genocide? The ... ?

How many of you know anything about all these things now?

How come you honest, upstanding Americans never want to actually find out the truth?

The defender of war criminals, terrorists and the really really crazy thing is you, and so many others defend all this when it is based on the huge, enormous, gigantic lies.

I know how you live with yourselves as you have been doing it since your genocidal beginnings.
