@glitterbag,
Agree.

It's so bad it would take me an hour to site the ways, but that is not my job.

US President Donald Trump paid $38m (£31m) in tax on more than $150m (£123m) income in 2005, a leaked partial tax return shows.

The two pages of tax return, revealed by US TV network MSNBC, also showed he declared $103m in losses. It gave no details on income sources.

The White House said publishing the tax return was against the law.

Mr Trump refused to release his tax returns during the election campaign, breaking with a long-held tradition.

He has said he is under audit by tax authorities and that his lawyers advise against releasing tax returns. His critics, however, say they suspect Mr Trump has something to hide.

Correspondents say that, despite the lack of detail, the leak is still significant because so little is known about President Trump's tax affairs and the new information could increase pressure on him to release more.

The two pages show that Mr Trump paid $5.3m in federal income tax and an extra $31m in what is called alternative minimum tax (AMT).

AMT was set up nearly 50 years ago to stop the wealthiest people from using deductions and loopholes to avoid paying taxes. Mr Trump has called for it to be abolished.

The $38m bill was an effective tax rate of about 24%, higher than the average American citizen would pay but below the 27.4% averaged by higher-earning taxpayers.

Yeppy...The vault was empty. And what the dumb carpet muncher didn't even realize was while she was teasing her audience of brainwashed liberal lunitics, Tucker Carlson had already reported it and was making fun of her.

The irony being that comedians are a more reliable source for news, than reporters.

@Builder,
The news department no longer exists at NBC. It been replaced by the opposition party to the RNC; nothing more than a 24 hour propaganda machine dedicated to delegitimizing Trump's presidency.

Didn't she break the law by revealing a person's tax returns without permission?

Well, that really bites, eh? For months now I've been hearing from the cheese-eaters that Trump paid no taxes, for one of two reasons (or both):.

1. He is a tax cheat and exploits "unfair" tax laws, and/or
2. He showed no income because he's actually a failure as a businessman who lies about his achievements.

38 million in taxes, in one year alone. And that just income taxes. He paid tens of millions more in real estate taxes, payroll taxes, sales taxes, etc.

The cheese-eaters around here wouldn't make, let alone pay in taxes, 38 million in 500 years. And, at that rate, they wouldn't pay a cent in taxes to help subsidize society's deadbeats.

Welfare queens nationwide should be celebrating Trump's success, and that of others like him.

@Lash,
Did she? Didn't she also break the law by conning her president into invading a nation, and having the leader murdered in the street without a trial?

She will claim a 1st Amendment immunity, but in effect yes...receiving stolen property and probably conspiracy as well.

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, the former head of Exxon Mobil, used an alias email address while at the oil company to discuss information related to climate change, the New York attorney general says.

Eric Schneiderman says Mr Tillerson used an account named "Wayne Tracker" for at least seven years.

Wayne is Mr Tillerson's middle name.

Mr Schneiderman is investigating whether Exxon misled investors and the public about climate change.

In a letter to a New York state judge overseeing the investigation, the attorney general said the company had not previously disclosed the account, which was also used to discuss other issues.

The attorney general also said Exxon had produced some 60 documents bearing the "Wayne Tracker" account but never said it was used by Mr Tillerson.

Mr Schneiderman said Exxon had failed to give his office all documents covered by a court order in response to the investigation.

The state department declined to comment.

Had he been a regular income earner, he would only have been required to pay about $5 million in taxes on the income he made. But, because he aint regular, but is instead wildly successful, they soak him for an additional $31 million. Take his regular taxes, then multiply that by 6, eh?

I see what some people mean when they complain that the tax structure aint fair. It aint fair to Trump, that's for sure.

Hell, if I was Trump I'd get a better tax attorney. 25%??? ****, the way my tax dollars are squandered I'd want that down to zero.
