@MontereyJack,
Yeah, cj's post from a few hours ago did not age well. I'm guessing this means there is no mountain of evidence that will overturn the election.

Trump campaign cuts Sidney Powell from president’s legal team

President Donald Trump appears to have cut ties with Sidney Powell, a key member of his legal team who also represents former national security adviser Michael Flynn in his long-running attempt to unravel a guilty plea for lying about his 2016 contacts with Russia.

The abrupt shake-up came in a terse Sunday-evening statement from the Trump campaign that offered no explanation for Powell’s removal.

“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own,” Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani and campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis said in the statement. “She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”

Powell had made headlines in recent weeks for her increasingly outrageous and unsupported claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election, repeatedly vowing to “release the kraken” of evidence, only to refuse to produce it when asked by reporters.

They will still use whatever solid evidence she gives them. Blowing up the government is dangerous, Trump only wants to reverse the election.

@snood,
Exactly, they don't what to read the stats because they know they show no fraud. There is nothing different from any of the stats and would be expected in any election. This has been agreed to by both Dems and Repubs. It is what was expected and there isn't any chance that the election results can be overturned. Besides, evidence must be proved by the accuser, not the accused; primary basis of democratic law!

@coldjoint,
So, why did Trump and Giuliani fire her, when she was a key part of their legal team, especially now when time is running out and they need all the help they can get?

From what I gather, apparently she was let go due to her comments about claiming Republican Governor Kemp rigged the election in Georgia against Trump.

That is total bullshit. Exact ratios do not trade places. And stay for an equal amount of time.

Who said they fired her? It could have been a mutual agreement. We could wait to hear from Powell. I know all the facts scare some people but they do help in decision making.

I guess Mr. Biden won't be able to harass Russia with spy planes now.

That's just as well. Mr. Putin will probably be helping the American people resist the Biden Administration.

Mr. Trump should make sure to chop the wings off those spy planes so they are good and scrapped.

@coldjoint,
So, to rephrase the question, why is Powell no longer part of Trump's legal team when now is a crucial time for them? Especially one day after that Newsmax interview where she claimed to be preparing a "biblical" lawsuit in Georgia.

Recent events have proved that your democracy is barely holding on. You're right now within a whisker of a fascist dictatorship.

I agree. It kind of hurts to hear it.

Fascists are socialists.

We aren't anywhere near fascism so long as the Republican Senate stands ready to oppose the Biden Administration.

Of course not. What do you think is gossip? I think what you see is speculation and they are two totally different things. I understand your limitations.
