Trump just tried to insult Joe Biden by saying "he'll listen to the scientists," to which we say EXACTLY .

Exactly how many mistakes have those scientists made? I believe it started with the WHO. Then progressed to an unrealistic models that never got close. Sweden proves that.

Scientists do not understand the economy. They side with progressives for status and the monies that come with it. Trying to scare people again.

@coldjoint,
Come on, surely you understand the newness of an unknown virus has it's learning curve. You're now stating no scientist, at any time, can be believed to tell the truth. That's false.

Herd immunity isn't the answer. Masks and social distancing slows the spread and yet Trump refuses to comply or even acknowledge the benefit.

This is not the leadership I want.

The virus was known to Chinese first. That is a scientific fact.

I did not say that.

You are right, it is just one of the answers because we need to live with this.
The virus is now a weapon aimed at this country by the Left. It is being used to destroy us.

@coldjoint,
It's not Trump's fault China did not contain the virus within their border. It IS Trump's fault he didn't contain it within ours.

Trump refuses to accept scientific evidence masks and social distancing works to curb the virus. This makes him an ineffective leader, dangerous to our population and disingenuous to solving this issue.

Your rhetoric is not accurate, safe or moral.

YOU are destroying us.

Trump refuses to let a virus kill our economy. This is not the deadly disease it is made out to be. The panic is strong with in you, or something like that.

Each state in Australia is managing the virus in their own fashion. Why would the United States be looking for federal measures to manage state issues?

Again, why is it up to one man, (who you openly detest, and refuse to listen to anyway) to tell the whole nation what they can, and can't do? Every state will have different levels of infection, and a state-based hospital system to manage the epidemic. Some stores here are providing masks as a condition of entry. Not mandated by govt. Up to the individual.

Much like the lamestream media, you've found just one more thing to blame on your president.

Not much that we've been told by "science" has been consistent, accurate, or even data-evidence-based, so no wonder people are doubting the narrative.

YOU are destroying us.

And YOU are clearly deluded.

The fact that progressives can't defend their ideology with facts or logic does not make it OK for them to engage in childish name-calling.

the fact that conservatives are too dim to understand progressives logic makes conserative ideology morally repulsive and demented.

220,000 deaths say your posts are idiotic. and the thousands of surging deaths reinforce the point every day.

@MontereyJack,
Quote:
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, women, and people of most racial and ethnic groups in the United States. One person dies every 36 seconds in the United States from cardiovascular disease. About 655,000 Americans die from heart disease each year—that's 1 in every 4 deaths.

So, if that number is one in four deaths, then over 2.6 million Americans are dying each year from illness. How do those deaths contribute to the clearly conflated Covid count?

And where's the scare campaign about cardio-vascular disease? We know the major causes are dietary. An American dying every 37 seconds isn't news any more? Why not?

Without scientists, could Mr.Trump know who's the invisible enemy - the virus that causes the pandemic? It is scientists who sequenced the genome of the virus behind COVID-19 and showed its true colors to the world.

Without scientists, who have designed and developed remdesivir, dexamethasone and monoclonal antibody therapy that helped cure Mr. Trump?

Without scientists, who would design and develop the vaccines that will eventually defeat the invisible enemy and save the globle economy?

What an ungrateful and untruthful old man!

If you don't believe China's data, take a look at South Korea's and Japan's! Both countries are China's close neigbors and by following scientists' advice have successfully reined in the virus within their borders. Mr.Trump is responsible for the rampant spread of the coronavirus in America that has so far taken away more than 220,000 American lives by showing his contempt for the scientists.

It has been exposed and the people who keep bringing it up know that.

The only thing that was exposed is the complicity of the Trump campaign. Why do you refuse to acknowledge the existence of the Senate Intelligence Committee Report on Russia? You need to get out of your basement:
Jack Brewster wrote:
Russian President Vladimir Putin directly ordered the hacking of the Democratic Party’s servers with the goal of leaking damaging information that would hurt then-candidate Hillary Clinton and provide a boost to President Trump’s campaign, the final report from the Senate Intelligence Committee’s probe into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election released Tuesday found, among other damaging findings.

Well, it's well known and pretty extensively documented — why wouldn't they believe it?

The NYT has a very good piece up on how and why absolutist notions of free speech are no longer tenable.

Edit: Here's a relevant fact I did not know...
In February, The Washington Post reported on an internal effort by
Quote:
Facebook (called Project P, for propaganda) after the 2016 election to take down pages that spread Russian disinformation. The project foundered after Joel Kaplan, Facebook’s vice president for global public policy, reportedly said at a high-level meeting, “We can’t remove all of it because it will disproportionately affect conservatives,” according to a source at Facebook who spoke to The Post anonymously. In an email this month, a Facebook representative said Kaplan’s point about Project P was that the company “needed a clear basis for the removal because the impact would be felt more on the right than the left, and we would face criticism.”

Kaplan has deep Republican ties. He was present at the so-called Brooks Brothers Riot in Florida shortly after the contested presidential election in 2000, when a group of Republicans in suits succeeded in stopping a recount of ballots to the benefit of their candidate, George W. Bush. In 2018, he sat behind his close friend Brett Kavanaugh during Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing for the Supreme Court.
