@MontereyJack,
She was turned out in Nov '63 and she was put off the lists in '89. That's a long life for a weapons platform. Took another 10 years to completely dismantle. I have huge attachments to my cars, but I didn't for the boat once I got ashore. I'm still Navy blue, though.

"The Constitution says that the President has absolute power over the executive branch."

Where does it say that? There's three equal branches including Legislative and Judicial.

Where in the Hell is that 170 IQ at????

"Mr. Trump is not doing anything unconstitutional."

The Supreme Court disagrees.

That is incorrect. Voters do not control what reality is.

It goes without saying, but I did not see your post. But any student of our history would know that. Bobsal did not.

@oralloy,
Too bad you have no reading comprehension. I swore no allegiance to the President, I swore allegiance to the the Constitution.

I, (state name of enlistee), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. (So help me God)."

My reading comprehension is fine. The Constitution says that the President has absolute power within the executive branch.

Now show me how that makes him the boss. The Office is the power, he's a ******* employee of the people for four years unless impeached or dead.

@oralloy,
It most certainly does not. Where does it mention absolute power"? He swears an oath simular to mine: ""I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

His obligation is to the Office of President. Now show me where he gets "absolute power". Especially when he's part of a three way balance made up of the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.

@bobsal u1553115,
He gets absolute power within the executive branch from the fact that all executive power is vested in him and no executive power is vested in anyone else.

The legislative and judicial branches are not part of the executive branch. They have no executive power.

@coldjoint,
Dipstick: The government is three equal partners, the Executive, the Legislative, the Judicial. Show where the Presidents "absolute power" is enumerated in the Constitution.

If your argument is that the President has "absolute power", why didn't Barrack Hussein Obama "absolute power"??????

Because the Office is separate from from the man. That's why he gets four year terms and only get two terms max. Because his power isn't "absolute".
