Trump could run out of campaign songs: after stars like Rihanna or Ozzy Osbourne, the family of the late Tom Petty has issued a statement objecting to Donald Trump's use of the song "I Won’t Back Down" in his campaign.

Why not keep using whatever song he wants to? Who cares if anyone objects?

So neither Congress nor the federal courts can tell the President what to do or how to do it?

Of course they can.

Congress is the ultimate authority. They pass the laws. They also have the power to impeach and remove judges and presidents from office.

The courts interpret the laws that are passed by Congress.

The President enforces the laws as interpreted by the courts.

Trump 'furious' about 'underwhelming' crowd at Tulsa rally
Source: nbc news

"This was a major failure," one outside adviser said.

June 21, 2020, 1:38 PM CDT
By Monica Alba, Kristen Welker and Carol E. Lee

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump is "furious" at the "underwhelming" crowd at his rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Saturday evening, a major disappointment for what was expected to be a raucous return to the campaign trail after a three-month hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to multiple people close to the White House.

The president was fuming at his top political aides on Saturday even before the rally began, after his campaign revealed that six members of the advance team on the ground in Tulsa had tested positive for COVID-19, including Secret Service personnel, a person familiar with the discussions said.

Trump asked those around him why that information was exposed and expressed annoyance that the coverage ahead of his mega-rally was dominated by that revelation.

While the Trump re-election effort boasted it would fill the BOK Center that seats more than 19,000 people, only 6,200 supporters ultimately filled the general admission sections of the enclosed arena, the Tulsa fire marshal told NBC News.

..........................

Much of the blame is falling to campaign manager Brad Parscale, who in the days leading up the event aggressively touted the number of registrations, but those close to him stress his job is safe, for now.................................................

This video is what the majority of posters here buy into? It is laughable. A bit sickening, too.

Yep, noticed that.

Trump did say a MILLION people were coming.

So, there's that.

Democrats and Republican Never Trumpers are celebrating Chinese interference in the U.S. presidential election.

Communists stick together.

China has siphoned away American jobs and production for three decades, a trend that President Donald Trump is the first Western leader to challenge. It flooded the U.S. with opioids, killing tens of thousands of people annually and creating millions of addicts. It allowed the coronavirus to spread internally, then internationally.

Now China is meddling in U.S. elections. It has been interfering for decades, ever since the Chinese government funneled money to President Bill Clinton’s re-election campaign in 1996.

In 2018, China targeted vulnerable U.S. congressional districts with tariffs and with propaganda against U.S. trade policy, which may have helped Democrats win several Republican-held districts.

Mr. Trump was not exaggerating. Leftists booked a ton of phony ticket reservations.

That's why they ended up in an arena too large for the true audience.

That is incorrect. They are preventing lawful government agents from operating within a section of United States territory.

That is the very definition of insurrection and rebellion.

Someone actually died yesterday because these rebels prevented first responders from reaching them in time.

A bunch of kids on TicToc just conned and ridiculed the President of the United States. Amazing!

Come to think of it, most trumpists are dirt stupid and so very easy to con... Anyone can manipulate those cretins, not just the Russians.

'Favors' to Blacks

Quote:
One of these "favors" was the welfare state. A vastly expanded welfare state in the 1960s destroyed the black family, which had survived centuries of slavery and generations of racial oppression.

In 1960, before this expansion of the welfare state, 22 percent of black children were raised with only one parent. By 1985, 67 percent of black children were raised with either one parent or no parent.

A big "favor" the Obama administration is offering blacks today is exemption from school behavior rules that have led to a rate of disciplining of black male students that is greater than the rate of disciplining of other categories of students.

Is it impossible that black males misbehave in school more often than Asian females? Or Jewish students? Or others?

Is the only possible reason for the disparities in disciplining rates that the teachers and principals are discriminating against black males? Even when many of these teachers and principals in black neighborhoods are themselves black?

But Washington politicians are on the case. It strengthens the political vision that blacks are besieged by racist enemies, from which Democrats are their only protection. They give black youngsters exemptions from behavioral standards, just as the Ivy League chemistry professor gave them exemption from academic standards.

In both cases, the consequence — unspoken today — is "to hell with them." Kids from homes where they were not given behavioral standards, who are then not held to behavioral standards in schools, are on a path that can lead them as adults straight into prison, or to fatal confrontations with the police.

Thanks Obama.

That's interesting, considering the fact that the DNC thinks decrepit old creepy Joe is a viable candidate, and I haven't heard anyone here (or anywhere) saying what a poor choice he really is.

Be honest. Pretty much every American here has been saying "Biden is not perfect but I would vote for a sea urchin over Trump."

From a long way away, I don’t think the US will change much, if at all, regardless of who is elected. I also think Joe is creepy and decrepit. But Trump is a dangerous, unstable, megalomaniac. He has to go.

@Wilso,
Remember, the "creepy Joe" is a creation of the Trump camppaign. It needs a target. Mot people hqvent even hewrd Biden speak. He can be quite eloquent (Qs compared the der Fuhrer in place now). Trump has no familiarity with debate and talking facts. Hes a totally absent minded liar who is running scared because his crimes will need to be answered in court.
He hears the end approaching and a new phase of his life that may involve one coplor jump suits. He will be able to brag about being the"Biggest felon on the planet. Bernie Madoff take a kiddies seat!!"
