Weakness is not a virtue. Pressure from whiners and dividers is no reason not to acknowledge history. That includes the good and the bad.

@coldjoint,
Since you're pulling your "I'm so superior" act when you catch someone making a typo, I suggest you look at "preformed" and "here in your last post. STFU.
and imes change. Standards change, and they should. When more equitable standards are violated, it's time to drop the old standards. Like the statue erected to honor a slave trader which demonstrators pulled down and rolled into the harbor. Or the statues of Confederate traitors to the USA which are being removed to storage.

Colin Powell, The New York Times, and the Fake Republican Revolt

Quote:
Establishment media goes ga-ga over a bunch of “RINOs” who probably won’t support Trump – and never did.

In other words, it is not news, it is an accepted fact "Deep Staters" from the Republican party never wanted Trump and never will.
Quote:
The Gray Lady’s strategy in publishing this nonsense is only too clear: she was providing fodder for other media outlets to run with stories of how Republicans are abandoning an increasingly erratic president. None of this really matters, though, because ordinary Republican voters – to borrow from Blazing Saddles – are staying in droves.

NYT= Fail. Wrapping a dead fish or the bottom of a bird cage is all it is good for

@MontereyJack,
I've hated the Yankees since I watched them beat Cleveland 4-0 in 1960 at Muni Stadium. But I sure did love my Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle cards that my mom threw away when I was in the Navy.

I see your point.

The trouble is that when people try to protest "peacefully" it gets met with the same bullshit.

Colin Kaepernick tried to protest peacefully.

One cannot protest more peacefully than he did.

How did that work out?

I know that’s rhetorical, but as I remember it, he got fired and publicly excoriated by the POTUS.

Exactly.

I would love to see all protest be peaceful...but what the hell....protest has to have some chance of effecting needed change.

The peaceful stuff was going nowhere. It was time to put some muscle into it...and I'm glad everyone did.

We could use a LOT less looting and rioting...but no more just standing around hoping some change will come along.

Amen, Snood.

Oralloy has gotten to be quite the crackpot. I don't remember him being quite so far out. I guess Trump has been a poor influence!

Will you be sending money to the small business owners whose lives were destroyed? Shitting on people like that to get what you want is never a good thing. You are supporting what is for all intents and purpose is a Communist themed takeover. Seriously anti- American.

I don't think there was a racist bone in her body but a lot of her choices in song just do not fly right these days. Nobody says anything about Al Jolson's blackface but it is offensive. At the same time I think he was more corn than racist.

#Minneapolis looks like a war zone.

What about the black people who have no grocery store now?

No pharmacy. No gym. No restaurants. Nothing. Everything is burned to the ground.

Don’t those black lives matter, too?

Now they’re destroyed.

Rob Smith is a Black man.

I respect Colin Powell’s service and he’s entitled to his opinion, like every other American. But he hasn’t voted Republican for sixteen years. Apparently John McCain and Mitt Romney were “too extreme” for Secretary Powell.

Crew of helicopter that flew over protest GROUNDED.

The Department of Defense said Friday it had grounded one of the National Guard helicopter pilots who performed low-flying maneuvers to disperse crowds of protesters in Washington, D.C., on Monday evening, according to multiple reports.

Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy told reporters that the helicopter crew was grounded pending results from an internal investigation, according to local CBS affiliate WUSA9. A Pentagon spokesman told the outlet that the move was standard procedure during such investigations.

The aircraft was one of two Army National Guard helicopters that hovered between 100 and 300 feet above the streets of the District on Monday night, according to an aircraft tracker. Gusts from their helicopter blades were aimed at dispersing crowds of protesters.
