Rep. Schiff stonewalling release of witness testimonies

These transcripts will come out. It is more than obvious they will make Democrats look bad, again.
Quote:
Congressman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) appears to be blocking the release of witness transcripts related to the Russia probe. Reports emerged earlier this week, suggesting the House Intel Committee chairman has repeatedly denied requests to release the documents, despite a unanimous 2018 vote by the panel to make that information public.

Schiff has allegedly objected to the White House’s requests to review several of the documents for classified information before release, but has also refused to release those that have already been declassified.

Commenting on the delay, GOP Congressman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) implied the real reason for Schiff’s refusal was an unwillingness to expose mischaracterizations of evidence carried out by Democrats during the probe.

“Well, I think it’s pretty easy,” said Nunes. “The Democrats don’t want these transcripts out because they are not good for them

@coldjoint,
-4, here come the socks. Laughing Laughing Laughing Wouldn't be easier to say why Schiff shouldn't release them, because it is Trump, and the rule of law is not for Trump?

An Egregious Statistical Horror Story

Quote:
With the latest reports of plummeting death rates from all causes, this crisis is over. The pandemic of doom erupted as a panic of pols and is now a comedy of Mash-minded med admins and stooges, covering their ifs, ands, and butts with ever more morbid and distorted statistics.

An overreaction and intentional damage are like two peas in a pod.
Quote:
A global study published in Israel by Professor Isaac Ben-Israel, chairman of the Israeli Space Agency and Council on Research and Development, shows that “the spread of the coronavirus declines to almost zero after 70 days—no matter where it strikes, and no matter what measures governments impose to try to thwart it.”

In fact, by impeding herd immunity, particularly among students and other non-susceptible young people, the lockdown in the U.S. has prolonged and exacerbated the medical problem. As Briggs concludes, “People need to get out into virus-killing sunshine and germicidal air.”

This flu like all previous viral flues will give way only to herd immunity, whether through natural propagation of an extremely infectious pathogen, or through the success of one of the hundreds of vaccine projects.

And a word to the wise.
Quote:
In a fascinating open letter to German Prime Minister Angela Merkel, epidemiologist Mihai Grigoriu concludes that with the French study, corroborated by findings from a Stanford antibody seroprevalence study in Santa Clara county, “the case for extreme measures collapses like a house of cards.” Grigoriu says that since the virus has already spread widely in the general population, efforts to stop further spread are both futile and destructive.

So let’s stop pretending that our policies have been rational and need to be phased out, as if they once had a purpose. They should be reversed summarily and acknowledged to be a mistake, perpetrated by statisticians with erroneous computer models.

Perhaps then we can learn from this experience with the flaws of expertise not to shut down the economy again for the totally bogus “crisis” of climate change.

It's kind of hilarious. The climate is warming whether the mouth-breathers want to believe it or not. If there are economic consequences, they will be "un-preventable" and the only remedy or means of mitigation will come from facing up to the future and finding ways to deal with it.

That really is not the subject. But you seem to be here just knock others and call them names. I take it the extreme overreaction to Covid19 is alright with you?

Facebook’s dangerously fake “fact checking”

If they cannot censor, they will lie. Fact checkers are a joke. The SPLC and others like Snopes are bought and paid for.

I’ve been drawing attention to the increasingly aggressive efforts by political and corporate interests to control the information you get on the new and online. I have often spoken of disingenuous “fact checking” efforts conducted by conflicted third parties who are actually trying to shape public opinion and control the information the public can access.

One chilling example comes in the form of Facebook’s fake “science fact checks.” The social media company has improperly been censoring and flagging material as “false.

@coldjoint,
Whining about how Facebook handles a private cite is as useless as whining about how the Epoch Times is a conspiracy theory cite. Each is privately owned and monitored.

Sharyl Attkisson is whining about it and she is a credible journalist hacked by Obama's FBI for investigating "Fast and Furious". And the Epoch Times reports the news you call conspiracy theories. That does not make them conspiracy theories.

@coldjoint,
Conspiracy theorists defend their wacksdoodle theories furiously, tooth snd nail take no prisoners style, though they are mutually contradictory and cannot all (or any) possibly be true at the same time. And the Wuhan labs has all the hallmarks. Conservatives seem to hate it the most when heir theories keep shown to be nonsense. Snopes os good at that, which infuriates sthem, tho Snopes has no compunctions against going after the far less numerous left urban legends. And it is in fact a fact that plagues/epidemics/pandemics for centuries have been zoonoses, diseases that afflicted animals that evolved to be able to infect humans as well. It appears joint's kvetch is as usual baseless,

Name one person on this site who's a Republican who opposed Trump in '16 and remains so today — you can't. Learn what a "NeverTrumper" is and use the term correctly.

As far as "BBC lies and fakery" go, that's the lamest attempt at a frame up I've ever seen. No one wants or needs to see the entire briefing (which is easily accessed); of course they're going to do some editing. The clip in no way diminishes the foolishness and pretentiousness of the president. None of the missing footage implies any change in context or meaning. Weak.
