given what I hear locally (sort of the centre of the cr@p of what's happening with long-term care in Ontario), they anticipate it taking at least that long to get things under control. It's totally fucked-up.

Our last three/four Progressive Conservative governments have a lot of answer for as they cut back minimum wage increases and funding to ltc facilities (the most recent cutback was less than a year ago) as well as pulling back on facility
inspections (a former PC premier is a major ltc lobbyist and investor). They created quite a clusterfuck. The current premier's mother died a few months back (perhaps covid) and his mother-in-law is in one of the most impacted ltc facilities.

Interesting information. Despite the very tiny number of deaths and cases in Australia, the latest push has been to send out undercover agents to bust people not "complying" to distancing "laws" in supermarkets and hardware chains, resulting in massive infringement fines to both the "perps" (how do you pass someone in a supermarket aisle?) and fines of sixty-six thousand dollars to the store owner for "permitting the breach" in the first place.

This will result (already has) in the closure of many stores, and the subsequent increase in panic buying, after having to line up for hours to get into a store.

How's that for an orchestrated clusterfuck?

I am telling you the Left censors people. That is a fact, and the Constitution has little to do with it. They are within their rights but have a hard time with anyone who disagrees.
