@revelette3,
There's the orthodox Easter tomorrow.
We have really large communities here in the area of - mainly of Turkish origin - members of the Syrian Orthodox church. Especially the older ones have difficulties to accept the services on youtube. And all miss the great come-togethers of their families tomorrow.

And as I wrote two days ago, we can count on Fox to duplicate their promotion of the Tea Party events...

The Economist notes:
Quote:
Americans are not rallying around Donald Trump during tthe pandemic. His approval ratings have been remarkably flat compared with those of other leaders - and past American presidents

That flat line tells us two things:
Nobody is climbing on board the Trump wagon
Those who support him wouldn't care if he shot somebody on Fifth Avenue

@blatham,
All those rallies and right wing sheep breathing on each other are almost a guarantee of spreading the infection and consequently thinning the GOP herd.

@coldjoint,
Slavery and segregation destroyed black family structure, not the great society. the invidious effects persist after they were outlawed (and segregations after effects are still with us despite your rose--colored glasses).

We've run out of toilet paper here and no bidet so I've hooked up the pressure washer to the toilet. Should work.

This news will come as a real surprise, I'm certain.

Quote:
Trump Congratulates Businesses for Helping Fight Coronavirus. But His Own Company Has Been Absent.

We checked in on the Trump Organization’s properties and couldn’t find any sign they were joining the effort to fight the coronavirus, even as the president urges other companies to do so.

An interesting criticism here of the either/or fallacy.

These folks have found a way to have both at the same time.

@coldjoint,
CJ, arnt you the one who was squeaking about the flue killing more people than the carno 19 ever would. Well here we are 5 months into the pandemic and I notice you have dropped that squeak. I guess even you recognize a fact this apparent. The carno virus is a dangerous killing machine. How about having a talk with your king and convincing him to drop the returning business to what it was. I don't think he has gotten the power to order your head cut off yet.

The thing about 9/11 which no-one ever mentions is that the ratings were through the roof.

@eurocelticyankee,
Quote:
After 4 years of Trump even the most sycophantic of his supporters must see that he's a narcissist who considers himself omnipotent.

This is why people voted for your president. Scary omnipotent narcissist much?

The old chestnut "working families" didn't quite have the impact she desired.

Quote:
So if you're still going to vote for him one can only assume you want to live in a totalitarian state.

You'd need to be specific about anything your president has done, to further a "totalitarian state".

Quote:
Wouldn't it be better all round if Trump and the Republican representatives moved en mass to China or Russia or even Israel.

One hundred and seventy million Americans?

Now I know you're short a few pennies on the pound.
