from January and February

What were the Democrats doing in Jan. and Feb.? They are briefed too. Impeachment was all that mattered to them. Anything about their inaction?

Yes. During the first month of the pandemic, the President was busy defending himself from baseless impeachment charges.

Now the Democrats want to try to distract from what they did.

If he wanted to do something useful he could concede to Biden and get his ass back in Senate chambers to push meaningful pandemic relief legislation.

Maybe he thinks that staying in the race and pulling Biden to the left is useful.

Maybe he thinks that gaining lots of delegates so that he is well-positioned if Biden self-destructs is useful.

what he has been doing is dodging is the acknowledgement of his loss.

Why should he bother to acknowledge it?

Concessions are for when people lose to someone that they respect, not for when people lose to Joe Biden.

Pence closes by saying he hopes Americans are "encouraged" today.
I don't think even Charles Dickens could have portrayed a more servile lick spittle than this guy.

The Guardian had this headline about Mr. Pence this morning:

Strangely competent Mike Pence finds his 9/11 moment in coronavirus crisis

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/mar/21/mike-pence-coronavirus-crisis

Does this now mean that leftist nutcases around the world will start babbling about the Guardian whenever they lose an argument instead of babbling about Fox News?

@oralloy,
I dont think we're that stupid . Unlike you guys, when someone disagrees with Trump, guys like you and pinky start howling about "Deep Dark States" or "pernicious pros", or "failure to back TRUMP" (Even when hes flat talking outta his ass on most of his BS about covid

@farmerman,
you even read that article?? I think nuance is not in your bagga tricks. It sorta compares Pence to Trump and the article isnt really that complimentary about Trump.

@Lash,
If you truly feel as you post, then you and others like yourself should have done a better job persuading long time democrats instead of alienating us by insulting us all the time. Which for you is more important, trying to get your progressive ideals taken up or pushing an argument?

Had he been elected in 2016, we'd be well on our way to face this crisis--and the crisis of uninsured people unable to get medical care.

Bernie is the only candidate who champions undiluted M4A and the only one who is trusted to actually carry it out.

Isn't congress still in session? Instead of hosting virtual coronavirus meetings where he more than likely speaks to the same supporters about the same things with a little advice thrown about the virus; he should be in congress hashing out the package deal for folks right now.

I am, I just don't buy what he's selling, It's your responsibility as a member of the revolutionary movement to do a better job of outreach, You don't do that by insulting them all the day long.

Had he been elected with House and Senate majorities dedicated to democratic socialism, you mean. It's all very nice to dream about what could have happened but in actuality Clinton defeated Sanders, 55% to 43% in the primaries, which indicates that the "socialist moment" hadn't arrived and there's no reason to think progressive Dems would have captured both houses.

And, of course, any of the more radical proposals would have been stopped in the courts. We wouldn't have gotten Medicare for All, nor would we have been able to expand our medical infrastructure to meet a crisis like this — even though the threat of a pandemic was known to be a real risk. We're a reactive, not proactive, species. Let the worst happen and then find somebody to blame — that's the USAmerican way.

An Outside Chance

@revelette3,
I knocked on lots of doors and met a lot of local voters, and welcomed a lot of converts on Twitter. I just lost respect for most of the fake liberals here—so I talked to them the way I saw fit.

You don’t know me.

@hightor,
No, Bernie’s loss doesn’t mean the country wasn’t ready—it indicates that the DNC retains the right to cheat the primary.

I’m most disappointed that he tried it again under the auspices of the corrupt DNC.

We could’ve had a stronger third party, but he was convinced third parties are spoilers.

Then why come here if you don't have any respect for the posters? What is your motive or objective in coming on here to push Bernie's plans by insulting everyone who would've been the most persuadable? Just to insult and argue? Let off steam?

Never claimed to know you.
