@oralloy,
I'll take that under consideration.

And thank you for your support.

@revelette3,
Quote:
MOSCOW (AP) -- A senior Russian diplomat says Moscow and Washington are running out of time to extend the last remaining nuclear arms control treaty.

Vladimir Leontyev, deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry's arms control department, said Friday that "it's clear that we won't be able to produce a full-fledged replacement" to the New START treaty that expires in 2021. He said that Russia-U.S. talks over the past year have shown that "there are issues that require very serious examination on expert level."

Leontyev said Russia's prospective Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile and Avangard hypersonic glide vehicle fall under the pact, but other new weapons announced by President Vladimir Putin don't, including the Poseidon nuclear-armed underwater drone, the Burevestnik nuclear-powered cruise missile and the Kinzhal hypersonic missile.

He said the U.S. sees things differently, raising the need for new, complex talks..

If the deal expires, we can re-MIRV our ICBMs.

And Trump is already having us build new ICBM warheads with a higher yield.

Those swing states are the very ones who get to elect the president. Obama managed to swing them. I hope whoever wins the democrat primary, manages to do the same.

Regardless, Trump did something unlawful and should have to face the consequences of it even if the republican senators let him off in the end, the house was/is right to start impeachment proceedings.

That is incorrect. Trump did not do anything unlawful.

But even if Trump had done something unlawful, it would be hypocritical to penalize him any worse than the $25,000 fine that Bill Clinton had to pay for his long string of felonies.

Since neither one of us can guarantee exactly what will be in the Articles of Impeachment, I think you're rather premature with your opinion Trump will not be removed.

Given the fact that "what Trump did" isn't even wrong, it's a pretty safe bet that Trump will not be removed.

Given the fact that the Democrats refused to remove Bill Clinton for committing serious felonies, it's a pretty safe bet that Trump will not be removed.

Given the fact that the Democrats did not get a single Republican vote in favor of this impeachment farce (and could not even secure all of the Democratic votes), it is a pretty safe bet that Trump will not be removed.

So, yes, it is clear that Trump is going to be our president until 2025.

But one day in the future (likely the distant future) there will be a Democratic president again. It's not to early to start thinking about impeaching them and removing them from office.

More likely than other outcomes, when you consider the fact that Trump hasn't even done anything wrong.

Is it wrong for a sitting president to ask a foreign national to investigate a political rival?
Let’s just skip over the part where you deny Trump did this.
Just, is it a wrong thing for a sitting president to do?

When I respectfully answer your questions, I receive only rudeness and name-calling for my trouble.

I'm not a progressive. It's not in my nature to deny reality. Were I to bother answering your question, my answer would not include such a denial.

Yes, asking a foreign government for personal favors is wrong.

Don't count on that.

Don't count on that either.

Speculation and wishful thinking does not make it so.

If a Democratic President pulls the same illegal stunt as Trump, then, yes removing them from office is the right thing to do. However, since Democrats haven't put up a candidate as deceitful or corrupt as Trump, there really isn't anything to worry about.

@neptuneblue,
1. Actually Trump wasn't just asking a foreign government for personal favors.

2. It was actually much worse than that.

3. Trump was extorting a foreign government for personal favors.

4. Trump was orchestrating a shake down of a foreign government for personal favors.

5. And yes, he should be impeached and removed from office for this offense and a very long list of other offenses.

6. Although, he should be remove for his many impeachable offenses, he ultimately won't be removed.

7. The republican senate will not convict and remove him from office.

8. The House still should fulfill their constitutional duties and impeach Trump.

What you call his "accomplishments" are the reason hisapproval ratig hasto struggle to reach 40%. n The country did not vote for his agenda and have never supported it. They're why he keeps getting booed at sporting events and loses to just about any dem in the early head-to-head matchups. They sure aint't gonna get him out of the gutter tier of presidential rankings when we get him out of office in 2020.

@Real Music,
Due to the annexation of Crimea by the Russians and the closing of the Sea of Azov, Ukraine is under constant pressure by Trump to fess up to having the DNC server magically show up there. Contrary to intelligence information that Russia is the culprit, Ukraine is now in a position to be taken advantage of. The narrative that Barr & Giuliani are pushing around the world is the smoking gun as to why the extortion has gone on so long.

What would you expect from a leader in an impossible situation? A bully says, hand over false info or we won't give the allocated resources to fend off Russia. Hmm.

@coldjoint,
The economy is at the expense of the environment, so no points are awarded for destroying it.

Record low employment is also at the expense of full time positions with benefits, so no points are awarded there.

Withdrawing from the Iran Treaty means we no longer can have a say or an interest, so really, negative points can be awarded.

Trump didn't withdraw troops from the Middle East, he allocated them to other places. Essentially, it's a smoke screen.

No, none of these are accomplishments. It's bad any where Trump's been or touched.

@coldjoint,
Oh, I forgot the tax cuts.

The $0.50 tax cut per year equals a $26 savings for the middle class per 4 yr term. That's a slap in the face. Double tap to you, because you think we should be thankful for it.
