Last I heard the inquiry continues.

The Democrats haven't even voted to start an impeachment inquiry.

Hearings continue, subpoenas will still come.

It remains to be seen if the Supreme Court will enforce these phony subpoenas, given that there isn't actually an impeachment inquiry.

MontereyJack wrote:
Dems just see no need for a vote yet,

If they choose to not start an impeachment inquiry, then there is no impeachment inquiry.

MontereyJack wrote:

Not at all. It is proper that phony subpoenas are ignored.

I'd ignore their phony subpoenas too, if I received one of them.

Or maybe not. I'd be sorely tempted to show up and then flagrantly refuse to answer their questions on the grounds that they were not running a legitimate impeachment inquiry (while trying to be as rude and disrespectful as I possibly could).

People aren't nearly rude enough to progressives. I'd relish an opportunity to do my part in changing that.

Progressives do not speak for all Americans. Plenty of Americans are outraged over these leftist witch hunts.

Trump, it seems, thought he could convince the Dunns to meet the woman who killed their son, and would do so by opening a side door through which she would walk. The whole scene would be captured by a pool of photographers who had been summoned for the meeting, a family spokesman charged.

But the Dunns would have none of it and refused to meet her. Dunn family spokesman Radd Seiger said that the family felt “ambushed” when the “bombshell” was dropped that Sacoolas was next door.

The guy is a sociopath. Which, clearly, is just fine with everyone who supports and defends him.

He's a sociopath for trying to bring the two parties together?

He shouldn't have even bothered trying. The best response to leftist antics is to disregard them completely.

Interesting that one of the few principled characters in Trump's gang turns out to be John Bolton!

Bolton is a great guy. He'd make an excellent secretary of state (or even president).

But Trump is quite principled. He stands up to progressives all of the time.

Trump mentioning to the newly elected President of Ukraine for him to look into "the Bidens" is campaign violation on it's face because the information is of value to Trump's re-election chances.

That's a preposterous interpretation of campaign finance law.

As far as we know, the favor wasn't about making up dirt about the Bidens, however. It was about Biden stopping the prosecution and a lot of people wanting to find out about that so whatever Zelenskyy could do with the Attorney General would be great. And that Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if Zelenskyy could look into it ... It sounded horrible to Trump.

The Democrats don't care about facts though. They just want to conduct witch hunts against people who disagree with them.

The only way to make them stop is to outlaw the Democratic Party altogether. Failing that, we need to relentlessly subject Democratic presidents to the same sorts of witch hunts.

Well, it turns out there actually was a shadowy deep state operation being run covertly and at the very highest levels and involving a large number of players acting cooperatively towards the same corrupt goals.

The two central figures in this deep state/shadow operation were, as we now know, Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani.

A heart-warming story of selflessness, grace and honor.
Quote:
On Oct. 25, 2008, the owner of a property in Florida in which Lev Parnas had been living told Parnas to leave. When the men began to argue and the owner told Parnas he would call the police, Parnas told the man, "If you call the cops, they are not going to find you ever," according to a petition for a restraining order filed by the landlord in Miami-Dade county court and obtained by POLITICO.

Three days later, the men met to discuss the matter again. According to the petition, Parnas held a gun to the man’s head and said, "This is my last warning to you," then got into his car, a dark blue Porsche Cayenne, and drove off. Three days after that, on Halloween, the police seized from Parnas a .38 revolver, a 9mm pistol, an automatic pistol, and a .40-caliber Glock pistol, according to a court motion filed later by Parnas seeking return of the firearms.

The condo at the heart of the dispute was on the 42nd floor of Trump Palace in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.

The guy who should not be posting on this thread thinks this kind of crap has any relevance, he is sadly mistaken. There has to be some mud around to roll in to satisfy his needs. Do not bring it here.

Maybe someone should remind CJ that he didn't start this thread, and if he wants to direct the conversation perhaps he should design and fund his own forum. He won't listen.

As I said, the inquiry continues. No need to vote on it. And you're free to fantasize about what SCOTUS will do, but as usual it just remains your fantasy until they do it if they ever do.

@oralloy,
And you certainly don't speak for most Americans either. You will notice that a majority of Americans support the impeachment inquiry. Your witch hunt meme is in the dumpster as far as the country is concerned.
