@oralloy,
bullshit, pure and total bullshit. Take a recent example. Trump did an interview with a Murdoch paper, the Sun. He called Meghan Markle "nasty". That was published. Trump denied he said it. The paper released a tape of the interview in which he plainly said it Trump insisted he never said it. Trump never lets fact stand in the way of his desired narrative. This is not a man ever in close contact with truth. CNN deals in facts, Trump deals in fiction.

@MontereyJack,
The media spouted all sorts of lies about Russian collusion.

And let's not forget that the media lied about the size of Trump's inauguration crowd.

Trump is entirely correct to refer to the media as fake news.

Let see we have Trump on youtube asking for Russians help in hacking Hillary email but he was just joking even those the Russians launch a large scale attacks on email servers within hours repeat hours of that request.

Then we have side by side pictures of the Washington mall when Obama became president and then Trump an I assume you are thinking that those pictures was fake?

Of course we could not be living in the same reality an in your reality millions of illegal voters was bus into CA to vote for Hillary causing Trump not to win the popular vote.

@BillRM,
I'm not sure if fake is the correct term for the picture.

They took a picture from earlier in the morning when the crowd was still filing in, and misrepresented it as being a picture of the crowd during Trump's inauguration.

It's certainly a real picture. It's just not a picture of the size of the crowd during Trump's inauguration.

You can't trust the media when it comes to Trump. They always lie about him.

@oralloy,
You eventually admitted that ther that Obama did in fact outdraw Trump. The official photographer said that he cripped the photos to make itseem like there were more people at Trum's. than were actually there. Trump started out averaging six untruths a day. He's now averaging ten. Yu keep trotting out one tired example which doesn't really bear out your case, and that's all you''ve got to try to prove a pattern of lies on cnn's part which is flatly not true, and ignore trump's fake news, which in fact is what he's been doing for three years (remember birtherism)/.

@oralloy,
I forgot. Trump and his admin and good o Kellyanne denied up, down, and sideways that there had been ANY contact with Russia before the election. And then it turned out that there had been upwards of 40 contacts, including the infamous meeting withTrump Jr, and a couple other trumpies and high level Russian intelligence people in Trump's home, for gods sake. What the **** did they talk about REALLY. And seemingly all o f his foreign policy advisers me with Russians and lied avout it.

I always admitted it.

It doesn't justify the media lying about the size of Trump's crowd.

MontereyJack wrote:

I've never heard this.

But even if it is true, it doesn't justify the media lying about the size of Trump's crowd.

MontereyJack wrote:

It is more likely that leftists are falsely claiming that truthful statements from Trump are lies.

MontereyJack wrote:

Proof that the media lies about Trump does in fact prove that the media lies about Trump.

MontereyJack wrote:

The media has been busted for other lies. All of their hysteria over imaginary collusion for example.

MontereyJack wrote:

It has been proven that the media lies about Trump.

As I said, leftists have a habit of referring to facts as lies.

@RABEL222,
Wrong again. The fact that I don't pay attention to silly nonsense says nothing about my attention span.

I actually pay quite a bit of attention to things that I disagree with. That's why leftists find me so frustrating. I'm always pointing out facts that debunk their demented ideology.

Thousands of demonstrators will line the streets of London to protest against the state visit of President Donald Trump on Tuesday.

The Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, who refused to attend a state banquet on Monday evening for the president, said he will join crowds to “stand in solidarity with those he’s attacked in America, around the world and in our own country”.

A huge police and security operation was under way on Tuesday morning, with protesters barred from demonstrating directly outside Downing Street and road closures in place.

Organisers of the Together Against Trump protest have billed the day a “carnival of resistance”, with demonstrators gathering at Trafalgar Square from 11am to declare a “Trump-free zone”.

Tuesday will also see the giant, orange inflatable baby Trump blimp take to the skies again after its owners reached their fundraising target and permission was granted by the Greater London Authority.

Organisers plan to fly the 20ft blimp depicting a nappy-clad president clutching a mobile phone for two hours from 10am over Trafalgar Square. A 16ft talking robot of Trump sitting on a gold toilet was also expected to make an appearance.

The protesters will include Handmaids Against Trump – women who will be draped in red with white hoods in homage to Margaret Atwood’s dystopian novel about a crackdown on reproductive rights.

Climate change activists, students, pacifists, trade union members and families will also gather.

Labour’s Diane Abbott and Emily Thornberry confirmed their attendance, while the Liberal Democrats and Green party are appealing for the public to join them.

The TUC general secretary, Frances O’Grady, and Mark Serwotka, head of the Public and Commercial Services union (PCS), will also speak to the rally.

Demonstrators will not be permitted to march past Downing Street as part of Whitehall will be closed off, the Metropolitan Police confirmed. Organisers had initially planned to demonstrate outside the entrance to Downing Street as Trump held talks at No 10.

Crowds will now stop at the north end of Whitehall with a “clear view of the access to Downing Street”, and proceed to Parliament Square by an alternative route. The Metropolitan police said a “barrier plan” will be in place across part of Whitehall just north of the Women’s War Memorial.

Scotland Yard said: “Protesters will not be marching past Downing Street at any point.

“This is a multi-faceted security operation, and whilst the Met has a responsibility to ensure the right to peaceful protest, this needs to be balanced with the complex requirements of this policing plan.”

Around 250,000 anti-Trump activists gathered when he flew into the UK on 13 July last year for his first visit as US president.

Elsewhere across the UK, protests are also planned in Birmingham, Stoke, Sheffield, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Chester, Leicester, Oxford and Exeter.

@izzythepush,
Christopher Ruddy, the CEO of media company Newsmax, said, the American royalty met the British monarch yesterday.

He said the Trumps were left "so impressed" by the banquet.
"These are folks not easily impressed," he told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. "Remember they have their own ballrooms and palaces and they have wonderful homes like Mar-a-Lago."

@Walter Hinteler,
In the pressconference a few minutes ago, Trump claimed "thousands" of people have been on the streets in London cheering him. And there were only very few demonstrators.

@Walter Hinteler,
The US government has spent millions of dollars on luxury hotel suites, chauffeured vehicles and back-up generators for Donald Trump’s state visit to London.

Contracts placed by the state department show US taxpayers have spent $1,223,230 (£965,921) on VIP accommodation at the InterContinental hotel on Park Lane in Mayfair, a hotel linked to members of the Qatari royal family.

A further $339,386 (£267,994) has been spent on “hotel rooms in support of a visit” at the Hilton on Park Lane, one of London’s most exclusive addresses, and also on “passenger car rental”.

Along with his third wife, Melania, Trump has brought all four of his adult children on the trip – Donald Jr, Eric, Ivanka and Tiffany. Along with their administrative support and security details, that has added significantly to the size of his entourage.

The state department placed a series of hotel contracts, first disclosed by the Scotsman newspaper, through the US embassy in London, including another $122,059 and then $32,339 for additional hotel rooms at the Intercontinental.

Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been spent at the Hyatt Regency – the Churchill, a hotel on Portman Square. That includes $18,750 on “hotel rooms in support of a VIP visit”, as well as $47,311 for a generator, presumably to provide back-up power supplies for official business.

At the Grosvenor House hotel, another five-star hotel on Park Lane, the state department has spent at least $266,882 on “hotel rooms for VIP visit” and installing special voice and data cabling in the hotel suites.

@Walter Hinteler,
Regarding the post-Brexit period, Trump has said the NHS must be "on the table" in any post-Brexit trade deal with the US, echoing the remarks made by Washington's ambassador to London at the weekend.
Trump: "When you're dealing in trade everything is on the table. So NHS or anything else, a lot more than that, but everything will be on the table, absolutely."
(PM May downplayed this a bit: "The point about making trade deals of course is that both sides negotiate and come to an agreement about what should or should not be in that trade deal for the future.")
