@edgarblythe,
The overwhelming world problems Gorbachev speaks of, most of
them are a result of a weak, islamic sympathetic former US president.

No. You don't get to poke fun at actual scientists. You can disagree with them all day long, but that's childish.

First, the NY Times didn't apologize. Second, the NY Times' stats are at an all time high. Third, as Trump has already admitted, he also thought he was going to lose the election HERE which, I guess, makes him FAKE SMART.

But the important aspect here is the continuing propaganda program being waged against media (particularly the major national media entities) which represent the greatest impediment to his administration's misinformation/totalitarian tendencies.

@blatham,
NY airport is detaining refugees under Trump's executive order. Trump is so ignorant, he doesn't understand what our country stands for. He doesn't understand the symbolism of the Statue of Liberty even though he's lived in NY most of his life. BTW, they all have been vetted and given green cards.
Trump is so ignorant in so many ways, why are Americans supporting this idiot?

Lady Liberty is smiling now that O-boy is gone.

Only the ignorant believe O-boy did any proper vetting during his 8 year rule.

@cicerone imposter,
Yes. Fear of "the other" and xenophobia have been a constant aspect of movement conservatism for a long while. This latest stuff is the culmination of such thinking and is a consequence of the spread of a right wing media universe pushing the stuff widely. I have no confidence that Trump actually believes any of it (or that if he does today, he won't be convinced by someone that the opposite is true tomorrow). The jerk jumped into the middle of a tornado under the presumption that he's the greatest mind and the strongest dude ever so nothing would be beyond his ability to handle or bully into submission. America has committed a serious injury to itself here.

I guess the US will also need to firm up it's northern border, unless of course Justin Trudeau does some extreme vetting of his own.

Get used to it. @POTUS is a man of action and impact.
Promises made, promises kept.
Shock to the system.
And he's just getting started

Think about that one.

9/11 was a shock to the system. The assassination of Lincoln was a shock to the system. The economic meltdown was a shock to the system. The attack on Pearl Harbor was a shock to the system.

Stalin was a man of action and impact. Genghis Khan was a man of action and impact. Hitler was a man of action and impact. Charles Manson was a man of action and impact.

What Conway is doing here is an implicit boast and threat about power. Power that ignores norms, that ignores traditions, that ignores consequences, that ignores the millions of humans negatively affected. Nothing you say or nothing anyone else says - no matter who they are nor no matter what their education and long experience and morality directs them to think, say or do - has any effect on the Trump administration's power to operate how ever they want.

@blatham,
This constant stream of executive orders......can Trump keep reversing policy like this? Do these fiats later get to be debated in congress and can they be overturned?

How to cover the rise of a political leader who’s left a paper trail of anti-constitutionalism, racism and the encouragement of violence? Does the press take the position that its subject acts outside the norms of society? Or does it take the position that someone who wins a fair election is by definition “normal,” because his leadership reflects the will of the people?
