Mandatory spending (i.e. entitlement programs) accounts for 2/3rds of the federal budget.

Defense accounts for 54% of discretionary funding, but that is appox 1/6th of the entire budget, and only a liberal wouldn't consider defense spending not mandatory.

I recognize that liberals like you think that if we all sing Kumbaya each night, our nation has nothing to fear from external enemies, but that ain't so.

We could start with repealing the Trump Tax-Cut-And-Steal-From-Future-Generatioms plan that McConnel pushed through and Trump signed.

Here’s a compromise bill.

Raise taxes on wealthy and not so wealthy liberals.

Cut Medicare from all republicans.
Cut Social Security from all republicans.
Cut Medicaid from all republicans.

Eliminate mortgage interest deduction
Implement a foreign war tax.
End corporate/farming subsidies
Increase age for SS benefits
Raise/remove cap on SS taxes
