You've heard of the War Of The Roses? The GOP is now commencing a War On The Raped. By continually mocking the clear evidence that people who are sexually assaulted go into a shell for years because confronting their experience is too emotionally devastating, the Republicans are working hard to prevent people who were raped from finally coming forward.

If Kavanaugh gets appointed, every person who underwent such an experience will know that for the next 30 years, the ultimate decision as to what rape victims' rights will be will determined by a Court that has a member who very possibly engaged in sexual assault himself.

How typical of you. So evidence comes forward that Kavanaugh might have unsuccessfully tried to rape a girl with a buddy of his, and all you can do is say, "So what, rape is worse elsewhere".

By the way, genius, under those Democratic mayors the national rape rate has dropped from 42.8 per 100K inhabitants down to 28.1 per 100K inhabitants in 2016.

See the difference? The Democrats are fighting a War on Rape. Republicans are fighting a War On The Raped. And it's real.

The accusations needed to be heard. The response of the Republicans and the performance of "Renate Alumnus" Kavanaugh may have energized elements of the Republican base but most Democrats knew that blocking confirmation was a long shot, if not impossible. But, as with Clarence Thomas, the man's stature has been diminished even if his reputation among conservatives has been enhanced.

Both Thomas and Kavanaugh are willing to put their jobs above themselves and the good of the country over what some people may think. Let's put it this way the Constitution will not be easy to destroy and Democrats have made entirely clear it is what they intend to do.
