Jerome Corsi, a hard-right conspiracy theory author and associate of Roger Stone’s, was in front of special counsel Robert Mueller’s grand jury Friday, ABC News reported based on a source with direct knowledge of the appearance.


Corsi is the latest of a string of people in Stone’s circle who have come in front of the grand jury, which has been convening in a federal courthouse and D.C. Corsi was subpoenaed by Mueller, and his attorney told ROI-NJ last week that they were cooperating and traveling to D.C. meet with the investigators on Monday.

The attorney, David Gray, declined to comment on Friday’s ABC News report in an email to TPM.

Mueller prosecutors Jeannie Rhee, Andrew Goldstein and Aaron Zelinsky were spotted by TPM at the courthouse Friday.

Corsi is known for his role in pushing Obama birtherism as well as other conspiracy theories, including about the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the Sandy Hook shooting.

He was at one time a bureau chief for the fringe website InfoWars, and has published books and written elsewhere about his far-right beliefs.

In recent weeks, other associates of Roger Stone — who served as an informal ally of Donald Trump’s campaign — testified for the grand jury, including New York radio host Randy Credico and the so-called “Manhattan Madam,” Kristin Davis.

Another Stone associate, his ex-aide Andrew Miller, is fighting Mueller’s subpoena in court.
