This is hardly enlightening.
It still comes down to the fundamental principle of fairness that an accuser must provide evidence to support his or her accusation and that the accused has a right to confront his or her accuser. This has been a principle of fairness for centuries.
That many a woman in the past who brought forth accusations of sexual abuse were treated roughly and even unfairly, is not a reason to abandon this principle. Those women who were treated unfairly will not, somehow, find justice in the destruction of an innocent man.
This is the insanity of
social justice. That innocent parties belonging to a group designated as historical oppressors must, in the name of justice, suffer unfairly in order to level the scales.
