@coldjoint,
If you think that, you badly need a refresher course in English grammar.

@najmelliw,
I hate to have to be the one to break this to you...

Adolf Hitler created the German highway system and was instrumental in the original creation of the Volkswagon, or people's car. The first thing the German Nazis did when they took over was to pull Germany straight out of the Rothschild/trans-Atlantic monetary system. In other words, occasionally, every once in a while, they actually thought about doing something for the German people.

Bork Obunga, on the other hand, totally hates the United States and the American people. The only thing the American people ever got from him was ****ed in the ***. Bork won two US presidential elections because two successive GOP candidates, apparently on orders from their deep state masters, rolled over and played dead for him. What we have now is a real president who has seized the GOP from the deep state masters and who did not roll over and play dead.

Seriously? So did Obama leave his country split in two different countries, and four different occupation zones? with millions upon millions of dead, and the infrastructure bombed to smithereens? With its capital city split in two as well? With the population starving? With a forced de-industrialization policy?

He (Obunga) would have done all that and more if he'd had the time. The forced de-industrialization policy was in fact a work in progress (war on coal, war on oil, war on nuclear, total neglect of infrastructure...) which Donald Trump has pretty much stopped at this point.

But he didn't complete that now, did he? Even if I catered to your line of reasoning, it still means that at the end of the line, Obama left his country in a better state than Hitler did. Ergo, he wasn't the worst president since Alley Oop times...

@najmelliw,
For someone who claims to be critical of the Nazis Gungasnake is very forgiving of their Serbian foreparts. He refuses to condemn the Serbs for the Srebrenica massacre and is full of admiration for fascists like Putin and Assad.

For a long time after the war, the German motorways were still regarded as the "Führer's Roads". Even today by Neo-Nazis and their comrades.
The dictator wanted to invent highway construction to get the unemployed off the streets.
A propaganda lie. Worked then and today with people like gunga.

Heh. Another demonstration of the left's utter lack of any sense of humor, eh? Snake expressed his dislike of Obama in colorful and obviously hyperbolic terms, and they turn this into a SERIOUS issue involving contrasts with Adolph Hitler, complete with historical details.

Christopher Hitchens wrote:
One of the many problems with the American left, and indeed of the American left, has been its image and self-image as something rather too solemn, mirthless, herbivorous, dull, monochrome, righteous, and boring.

How many times, in my old days at The Nation magazine, did I hear wistful and semienvious ruminations? Where was the radical Firing Line show? Who will be our Rush Limbaugh? But the meetings themselves were so mind-numbing and lugubrious that I thought the danger of success on either front was infinitely slight.

Since I'm at this website, I might as well throw in a couple of excerpts from Hitchens' opinion of Michael Moore and his film:

Christopher Hitchens wrote:
To describe this film as dishonest and demagogic would almost be to promote those terms to the level of respectability. To describe this film as a piece of crap would be to run the risk of a discourse that would never again rise above the excremental. To describe it as an exercise in facile crowd-pleasing would be too obvious. Fahrenheit 9/11 is a sinister exercise in moral frivolity, crudely disguised as an exercise in seriousness. It is also a spectacle of abject political cowardice masking itself as a demonstration of "dissenting" bravery. I never quite know whether Moore is as ignorant as he looks, or even if that would be humanly possible.

Ya done had your covers pulled, Fatboy.

He does pose a good question: Would it be humanly possible? That could probably be debated for a good long spell, eh?

@layman,
I enjoy listening to Seth Myers, Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah and mostly John Oliver. I daresay my sense of humor is quite alright, thanks! Smile

However, using derogatory terms like 'Obunga' to refer to an African-American president doesn't really tickle my funnybone, you know? Perhaps I'm a bit more attuned to the realities of racism in the world than gunga, though.
