You'd have to be rather simple to think it doesn't happen.

@coldjoint,
O course it ccan be rated already.You do realize that polls rate presidents continuously on all as[ects pf their [resodentoing., Nobody waits til they're out of office. And on pretty much every aspect Trump is clearly in the lead for worst. At the rate he has been destroying the country, there may be no country left by the time he is impeached and convicted.

Economy is doing well, unemployment is low, North Korea defused, Syrian invasion halted. All you need now, is for Bibi and his wife to be incarcerated, and the Obama/Clinton cabal to be on trial. Things appear to be swimmingly successful for the current prez.

You can check his daily poll results at Rasmussens. Monday, June 25, 2018

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-two percent (52%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 33% who Strongly Approve of the way the president is performing and 43% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -10.

@oralloy,
Thanks. I don't have the time to peruse these right now, but I do wish to thank you for doing something that is often sorely lacking in the posts I read: provide sourcematerial for the claims you made.

Points to you for that, oralloy.

Hypocrite much?

Where's the hypocrisy? Gingrich was talking about in person harassment (and worse) that is being advocated against every trump supporter.

Snake just gave his personal opinion about the effectiveness of a politician (which you apparently didn't agree with, like, or feel was "appropriate"). Two entirely different things.

I don't know in what context the quote is made(although I can guess). Gungasnake posted it on this website without context. Reading it verbatim, which one is wont to do, there's no mention at all to 'in person' harassment.

Next, two pages later, he mocks a president by changing his name, and then says he's the worst leader since the days of Alley Oop (which, if I'm correct, refers to a comic strip with a character of the same name in the stone age). Needless to say, that means he effectively called Obama a worse president than, and I can't believe I'm going there, Hitler.

sigh. Why do I even have to explain it?

In the Netherlands, there was an election of the greatest dutchman (or woman) of all time in 2004. As fate would have it, less than two years prior, a prominent right wing politician, Pim Fortuyn, had been gunned down when he left a studio where he had participated in a talk show. At that time, he had certainly stirred up a great deal of controversy, but in terms of what he had done for the Netherlands, that was next to nothing, since he had never even lived for the first elections he would participate in. (his political party won very big that year though).

So, back to the show. When the votes were counted at the end of the program, for a while, it was believed he was effectively number one. In the end, apparently, due to a miscount, he was placed at number two, and William of Orange was made number one.

The reason I'm pointing this out is because of the simple fact that people tend to have the strongest feelings for the most recent past. Which in effect means that this poll is polluted. It's the most recent president on the list who gets the most votes, because he is the one people best remember. A close number two is Bush, whom was president before Obama of course. I reckon the 13% for Nixon were due to 'Watergate'.

Here's a heads-up for ya; Bush's actions "created" IS. Obama's actions "funded" IS.

Not sure what Jimmy Carter did to deserve a whammy, but the votes are accurate, except for Bush's daddy, who's just a nasty bastard on a good day, with an absolute cow for a wife.

@najmelliw,
That poll, posted by coldjoint, is demonstrably several years old.

But Quinnipiac University polled American voters on the same question in March 2018 again:

@Walter Hinteler,
Thanks for providing the latest poll, given how coldjoint and others were using an older one to prove their own point. But nevertheless: this new poll actually proves my point, not? Trump is now the most recent president, isn't he?

Interesting that Reagan was named most popular by the way, given 'Irangate'.

@Builder,
The poll was conducted June 24 - 30, 2014 - certainly something you easily could have noticed yourself (I gave the link to Quinnipiac University Poll above)
