@revelette1,
You have the inside scoop on God, huh?

Quick! What’s she wearing today?!

Does that make me a “blasphemer”?

You are going out on a limb saying what God would or wouldn't do. And the word blasphemous on top of it, c'mon.

Right? If a conservative had done that, they’d be eating her eyeballs.

Hypocrites.

@Lash,
Listen we are all entitled to our belief system, a reading of Hebrews of the Bible will lead one to believe Jesus fulfilled the prophesies (God in times past used the prophets and diverse manners but now speaks to us through Jesus Christ..). I admit I let myself get carried away with what type of prophet God would use. I apologize for it. I knew I took a limb out; have at it. I would rather take flack from an honest belief than your screwed up posts.

Wonderful humans, these folks
Quote:
The secretive dark money group behind an Islamophobic ad campaign run during the 2016 election was unmasked Thursday as being funded by rightwing mega-donors, in a Center for Responsive Politics report on its 2016 tax return.

In three ads — “Islamic State of France,” “Islamic State of Germany” and “Islamic States of America” — Secure America Now spliced violent imagery, including of an execution-style murder and Islamic State fighters, in between doctored images of the three countries re-imagined as theocracies. The group has been prolific on YouTube for years, as well as on several social media channels.

In 2016, the tax return revealed, Secure America Now was funded primarily by Robert Mercer, the hugely influential Trump donor and far-right activist; 45Committee, another dark money group reportedly started by casino magnate Sheldon Adelson and Todd Ricketts, the co-owner of the Chicago Cubs and son of TD Amitrade founder-billionaire Joe Ricketts; and Ronald Lauder, heir to the Estée Lauder fortune who is also active in Israeli politics.

Mercer, 45Comittee and Lauder gave Secure America Now $2 million, $2 million, and $1.1 million in 2016, respectively. The group counted donations in slightly smaller numbers from yet more well-known donors: Brad Anderson, former Best Buy CEO; Foster Friess; and Olympus Ventures LLC, which the Center for Responsive Politics reported is tied to the founder of Best Buy, Dick Schulze.

And my understanding is that these folks are like, you know, supporters of broad union membership in their various enterprises.

‘Confidential’ Shell document shows oil giant knew about climate impacts over a generation ago
"By the time the global warming becomes detectable it could be too late" to act, Shell scientists warned in 1988

Dutch oil giant Shell knew about the impacts of climate change as early as the 1980s, according to newly uncovered documents. But as one confidential document shows, Shell also knew the world would not take action quickly enough to stop the effects of climate change.

According to perhaps one of the most significant documents uncovered — a 1988 Shell document marked “Confidential” and titled “The Greenhouse Effect” — the oil giant had an internal climate science program dating back to 1981.

As the document’s authors acknowledge, fossil fuels are the “main cause” of increasing carbon dioxide emissions. It also lays out detailed analysis of the potential impacts from rising global emissions, including sea level rise, ocean acidification, and human migration.

Even more reason to love them. And Sinclair too. I'm filled up with love. Bursting with it.

Replying to @washingtonpost

Targeting red states is not a direct attack on Trump. It is a strategy to get leverage on GOP Congress members. The Chinese are playing targeted, precise, four-dmensional chess while our administration is playing and losing that peg game at Cracker Barrel.

@blatham,
I sure, Lash will jump in and condemn that the major shareholder in the controversial data firm Cambridge Analytica, donated $2m to a secretive group that targeted swing states during the 2016 election.

On the other hand, and since the group’s website says ...
Quote:
Born in grassroots and matured on the internet, we are now a nationwide army of Democrats, Republicans, Independents, conservatives and liberals who share a common concern about our security and our liberty. We know the stakes and we won’t back down.
... it's perhaps just the other way around

Former Gov. Phil Bredesen has a 10-point lead over U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn in the race to succeed U.S. Sen. Bob Corker, according to a new poll from Middle Tennessee State University.

The poll, released Thursday, found 45 percent of 600 registered Tennessee voters said they would choose Bredesen, a Democrat and former Nashville mayor, if the election were immediately held.

Blackburn, a Brentwood Republican, netted 35 percent, with another 17 percent of respondents saying they were not sure.

Sinclair is fighting back but only hurting itself

When he finally reaches 72 percent of U.S. households - there's no need to fight back - it certainly not only works in Peoria.
