@ehBeth,
He's a thoroughly despicable man. I'm so glad his face has vanished from the BBC website. Following his speech we had three days of him glaring out at us on the US/Canada page.

What's amazing is the paranoia, I don't know what say we European Socialists have over America's gun laws. They're America's laws not ours.

@McGentrix,

Um, ehBeth specifically referred to hunting animals for their meat. Do people who hunt with an AR15 commonly devour the varmints they shoot? (I'm going by the chart you've provided.)

The devastation caused by the AR15 is maximal at ranges under fifty yards because of the high velocity of the projectile. That's what Dr. Sher found so disturbing compared to the handgun injuries she was more familiar with.

I've explained it before. Why do you keep asking me to repeat myself?

Free people have the right to carry guns.

Serfs do not.
That certainly qualifies for a Ph.D. in Medieval European History.

@revelette1,
It's said that she'd been thinking of leaving for a while — no idea if that's the case. I think she realized that she was in over her head and Trump's alleged outburst helped her make up her mind. But that's just speculation on my part.

@oralloy,
Posting an idiotic picture is hardly an effective rejoinder to izzy's post — it backs up his point!

It works too. None of those Stoneman Douglas High School students will ever commit any crimes.

@oralloy,

When they use an AR style gun that fires a deer hunting round, and use it to go deer hunting, they typically eat the deer meat.

As I pointed out, I was going by the chart McG provided. The chart contradicted the attempted argument he was making to ehBeth, that's all.

Hope Hicks refused to tell House panel if she had lied for senior Trump officials, lawmakers say
Quote:
In her marathon nine-hour closed-door meeting with the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday, White House communications director Hope Hicks refused to say whether she had lied for a number of senior White House and Trump campaign officials, even as she acknowledged telling “white lies” for President Trump.

According to a Democrat and a Republican on the panel, Hicks refused to answer questions about whether she had been asked to lie by White House aides and Trump’s family members, including Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump, Jr., former White House adviser Stephen K. Bannon, and former campaign officials Corey Lewandowski and Paul Manafort.

The testimony came a day before Hicks, 29, announced her plan to resign from the White House.

@Walter Hinteler,
I'm hopeful that since some of the things they questioned her about took place in New York that Schneiderman can step in.

@blatham,
I have no idea what you're trying to say here. It's often the case when you try too hard to be clever.

@Walter Hinteler,
The whole nine hour meeting was sort of bizarre in the way the republican men were treating Hicks like some sweet little miss the democrats were just being mean to. Shame on the democrats for picking on her. Of course we should believe she only told white lies for the President, never anything important. I find it all sort of demeaning.

I just wish I knew what went down at the WH after that testimony and what exactly led her to the decision to leave the WH.
