Not much has actually happened yet, and I'm still skeptical. But I like the general direction this is going.

Also, have to admit that this concerns me regarding mid-terms. The republican turnout has been pretty low with all these special elections and a part of me is worried that a renewed gun debate will turn them out.

I'm not saying that because I think it's a bad idea for Democrats to talk about guns, but I'm just worried that it will impact that mid-terms and the goal of taking back at least 1 of the chambers.

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but it should bring a bit of levity.

Apparently in China your prosperity in the afterlife is dependent on how many people turn up to your funeral.

So far so good. Now it gets weird. People have been booking strippers for their funerals and now China is going to bring in a law banning strippers at funerals.

I get that concern but I think it's I think it will work out the other way. First, how many IRA gun nuts didn't vote last election? Not many, I expect. So I see that gain as minimal. On the other hand, women, kids and independents seem to be already demonstrating how things are going even with months and months of more Trump to come. The special elections are one indicator and polling is the other.
