And you haven't even got to the tens of millions from all the illegally invaded nations by the USA. Actually, you never seem to mention them at all. How come?

Sad, but mostly angry. When will these asshole politicians in bed with the NRA get the ******* message? With an idiotic president and corrupt Republican leadership this country has sank to its lowest depths!

Ah, but let the useless prayers begin!

@jcboy,
Has all the hallmarks of another false flag attack.

Here's some light entertainment to soothe the soul.

@jcboy,
Apparently our politicians are only concerned about children before they are born.

@glitterbag,
All the way until they're 18, actually. After that, they'd better hope they either had made all the right choices, or were born fortunate enough to have resources available to clean up the wrong ones. Otherwise it's off the the factories, the coal mines, or the prisons

@oralloy,
45 DAYS INTO 2018 AND WE HAVE ALREADY HAD 18 SCHOOL SHOOTINGS. Our idiot president does his usual remedy--prayers and condolences, which do diddly to cut down the carnage.. Oralloy goes into his usual rant about anybody who tries to do something about the situation isviolating our civil rights, as if the people who shave the guns weren't committing the ultimate violation of civil rights by killing or wounding someone--you know, the ultimate civil right, the right to life and liberty. Rights can obviously be in conflict with each other, and I'm pretty sure that if the Founding Fathers could come back to see how we were doing, they would be appalled at the perversion the NRA and the gun zealots have made of the Second Amendment.

So, by your criteria, Obama, Bush2 (and 1) W Clinton, in fact all of the former presidents, are also idiots.

@Builder,
about gun control , yes. All the past and existing presidents dont have the cojones to begin anything that would upset the NRA and its toadies because it would be political death, thats all. Yet, in the future, that president would probably have more statues built in his/her likeness just because it would show real guts. Maybe someone should run on that one issue alone and the issue be continued to be brought front in a generational plan.
Gun control will eventually be passed and itll probably be a bitter resolution that will not be "friendly" to the 2nd amendment.
Im a sports gun owner and protection pistol owner. Im appalled at the lax rules at the very fringes of the 2nd amendment that have been included within implied protection that the constitution provides, like unlimited gun purchases, and notifications about lost or stolen guns, or

the implied legality of bump stocks. When will Congress get a collective sack

BTW, explain what and who is it that "regulates" the well regulated militia that is given as the reason for unlimited access to guns and gun gadgets that, lets face it, are mostly there to allow some cellar dweller to play like he owns a machine gun.?

No idea. It's your nation. I do occasionally encounter NRA supporters who've taken to the notion that Australians are disarmed, and therefore pussies and gutless.

We still have guns; it's just that complete cockheads find it rather difficult to purchase one on the open market. We do believe that is necessary, and going on the current state of affairs in your nation, it might be time that kind of methodology is something you'd consider implementing.

It does not prevent criminals from accessing any kind of weapon, but it does prevent your average crackhead from rocking down the street and buying the means to blow people away on a whim.

Those who qualify to own one, must abide by rather stringent storage laws at home, so their children don't happen to get their hands on a weapon of death, and when in transit, secure storage is again required.

It's working out well for us. Can't recall the last time we had a mass shooting. Might have been when the cops refused to allow the snipers to take out that fellow in the cafe holdup in Sydney.
