@oralloy,
Quote:
What does this school shooting have to do with the issue of progressivism in the Democratic Party (other than the fact that the left wants to use the shooting as an excuse to violate our rights for no reason)?

That, in and of itself, is progressive. But seriously "progressive" and "the USA" put together create thee most oxymoronic pairing ever devised.

@oralloy,
You distorted my words like you distort and lie about most everything.

@BillW,
I can't begin to express how much I would not want to see such a thing.

Note the phrasing.

Investigators determined Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin improperly accepted Wimbledon tickets and airfare for his wife during a European trip last summer that ultimately cost taxpayers more than $122,000, according to a VA inspector general report released Wednesday.

His chief of staff, Viveca Wright Simpson, made false representations to a VA ethics lawyer and altered an official email to secure approval for taxpayer funding of Shulkin's wife's flights, which cost more than $4,000, the VA inspector general found.
USA Today

Another one. Is anyone surprised? So many of the people around this administration are in their jobs for their own benefit. Access to power and status and access to the huge coffers of the government are their touchstones. About citizens, they do not give a ****.

Latest reports suggest 17 have died in the latest school shooting. Most of these will be kids. Their families will never recover. The kids who survived will never forget what happened today. Nor will the police and other first responders. Nor will the teachers and the parents who drove to school terrified their own kids would have been shot or killed.

There will be blood and flesh and pieces of kids' bones and teeth and brains splattered across the floors and walls.

No other modern nation in the world permits the situations that lead to this level of evil to prosper. No other modern nation is this fucked up and immoral.

@blatham,
The whole attitude of this entire Administration to include Ryan, McConnell and many (too many) of their ilk is, "Let them eat cake!".

If you want a taste of the sort of messages that Assange had been distributing while assuming they would remain private (yes, karma, I know). This is a pretty thorough piece of reporting.

Quote:
“Be the Troll You Want to See in the World”
A major focus of the private [wikileaks/Assange] Twitter group was strategizing online attack campaigns, including creating false identities, something that Assange explicitly encouraged.

Assange philosophized on how to approach such activities in conversation with a WikiLeaks supporter who told the group that Scottish Member of Parliament Paul Monaghan had retweeted her. The supporter added that others in the group should tweet at Monaghan as well to try for more retweets. Assange responded, “Exactly what we were hoping for. Be the troll you want to see in the world.”

@BillW,
Yes. It's a personality type. Moves by the community towards equality are not good because this personality type wishes, more than anything, to be dominant over others. It is how they define themselves, how they measure themselves. They need others to be less well off, less powerful and with less social stature.

@blatham,
It is a direct result of the Citizens vs United case. "They" believe the almighty $ is the vote that rules, aaaaahhhh, that's called Fascism!

@oralloy,
An outright lie, oralloy, and as always not a lick of evidence. You sure do believe a lot of lies that the US is justly famous for dispensing.

The really odd thing is, you, none of you believe the cockamamie USGOCT. You all know that there were never any Arab hijackers, you know that the US 911 lies are all total impossibilities.
