Interesting to see that Gallup is not going to do any more popularity polls for the president, leaving just Rasmussen to do the job.

Gallup has announced that it is ending its daily presidential tracking poll which means Rasmussen Reports is now the only survey firm still tracking presidential job approval on a daily basis.

Well spotted, Walter.

Really? Why do you think Hillary would have been bad for Australia?

Outraged opposition alone is their policy, preoccupation and platform. No concrete policy proposals; no effort to unite or synthesize the views and policies of the emerging left wing (and unelectable) elements of the party with their established leadership, or to modernize the positions of their major patrons ( organized Labor is the prime example here ).

First, I think you’re confusing comments you read on message boards with actual statements made by politicians themselves.

Second, there are many policy positions staked out and discussed and supported by the DNC. Which would you like examples of? I can find and provide you probably anything you’d be interested in. These positions are likely to be much more stable than the erratic policies and positions proposed and championed by the Republicans, who’ve become as unpredictable and untrustworthy as the guy in charge.

Not that you’ll respond to this. You don’t seem to respond when challenged on most of your BS. Just these long-winded rants to air grievances. I’m not sure if you know how boring you’ve become...

@wmwcjr,
Yes. Trump is an embarrassment. It's going to take a long while, if ever, for the US to recover the prestige it has lost with this sociopath at the helm.

Political Correctness Has Run Amok — on the Right
Quote:
This focus on the left obscures the same PC tendencies on the right. Far less media attention is devoted to incidents involving conservative "censors," as when Catholic University’s seminary disinvited the Rev. James Martin, a Catholic priest in good standing, because it had come under fire from right-wing sites that disagreed with his pro-LGBT views. (The university itself did not endorse the seminary’s decision.) Or when Trump supporters at Whittier College shouted down a talk by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, a Democrat. Or when Newman University canceled a talk by a justice of the Kansas Supreme Court out of concern for students' safety due to an "unsettling" social-media campaign by anti-abortion activists.

And the reason this (along with Trump's behavior) is sooooo damned wonderful is that the main purpose of seeking/gaining political power is to enrich oneself.

This near total failure of the right (in America, at least) to recognize "political correctness" as a feature of its own worldview is quite interesting. One day, I'll try to write that up with the attention it deserves.

@blatham,
This can be discerned immediately from the coining and the spread of the use of the term "RINO," meaning that those who don't hew to the extreme right-wing ideology are "Republicans in name only." Theodore Roosevelt, one of the most popular Republicans ever to hold the office of President, would fall into that category today.

White House adviser Stephen Miller was escorted off the set of CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday after a contentious interview with host Jake Tapper.

Two sources close to the situation told Business Insider that after the taping was done, Miller was asked to leave several times.

He ignored those requests and ultimately security was called and he was escorted out, the sources said.

Arden Farhi, a producer with CBS News, backed up this report.
