Besides, I was robbed of my donations by an intentionally dishonest DNC who set out at the beginning to use my candidate, but make sure they impeded his right to a fair primary.

LOL, goddammit. It's like being robbed in an alleyway, dragging yourself out the the street, and the one who robbed you is standing there with her hand out, demanding more.

**** that.

There were so many reasons to stay home or vote third.

Elections in this country have devolved to farce. I'm not supporting it as it is. I'm trying to change it.

I wonder whose side you people are on--the oligarchs who enslave you or the people.

#takeaknee You applause Kaepernick for refusing to go along with bullshit. Put your ass on the line like he's doing.

But I'm not "enslaved". People can free themselves; they don't need politicians to do it for them. People who felt "enslaved" voted for Trump.

I know two People in real life who are die hard Bernie supporters. The kind who talk like Lash does. The kind where they talk of how bad they have it. How enslaved we are to the corporatocracy. How corrupt the world is.

These two people I know, are white college educated young men who spend most of their nights and money playing computer video games. They have never left the country or really left their computer chairs. I don’t know what it is in their life they feel they have being taken away from them. I don’t know why they think they’re enslaved to anything other than the computer game company release schedule.

When I hear people complain about their lives and how bad they have it, my first thoughts are of these two very vocal Bernie supporters. The ones who complain from their desk chairs while doing nothing in their actual lives to make themselves or their world better. They’ve never seen suffering. They’ve never seen sadness. They’ve never seen how bad it can get, so they don’t know that their minor problems are nothing in the scheme of things. They think they can complain because they have student loan debt like it’s the worst thing in the world because they don’t know anyone who has experienced anything worse than that.

Idk why I mention this. It’s not like they represent every Bernie supporter out there, but it was on my mind after reading some posts today.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft Condemns Donald Trump In Bold Statement After President’s Rant
Quote:
The New England Patriots owner offered a bold criticism of his president Sunday morning, saying in a statement he’s “deeply disappointed” in Trump’s recent comments about NFL players who protest.

“I am deeply disappointed by the tone of the comments made by the President on Friday,” Kraft’s statement read. “I am proud to be associated with so many players who make such tremendous contributions in positively impacting our communities. Their efforts, both on and off the field, help bring people together and make our community stronger.

“There is no greater unifier in this country than sports, and unfortunately, nothing more divisive than politics. I think our political leaders could learn a lot from the lessons of teamwork and the importance of working together toward a common goal.

“Our players are intelligent, thoughtful and care deeply about our community and I support their right to peacefully affect social change and raise awareness in a manner that they feel is most impactful.”

@maporsche,
Yes.

Healthcare costs are ridiculously exorbitant, and politicians are being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep it that way.

The criminal justice and law enforcement systems are corrupt. The bankers and politicians who caused the big short crash walked away--& thousands of people's lives were ruined. They walked away. But poor people are preyed on by law enforcement.

The infrastructure is falling apart.

We are infested by a generation of 80 year olds who have presided over the destruction of what made this country great, enriched themselves, and found a way to hold on to power despite evidence of what they've done.

Yes, I feel oppressed by an archaic, corrupt government, and I'm singing in my chains like the sea.

You like the status quo?

@hightor,
Then you must approve of the great number of people who did strike back and withheld their support during the election.

That was people taking back power.

You must approve of the DNC's funding sources drying up.

That is people taking back power.

Thank you for your support, belated as it is.

@maporsche,
That's something the Trumpers and the loonier Sanders supporters have in common — unrelenting complaints about how bad, how corrupt, how terrible the country is. It's just awful — it's so bad that the not voting at all seems like a good plan.

The thing is, there are lots of things worth complaining about and, with luck, maybe actually changing. We even have the means to do it — it's called "government". Trump's plan, and I've heard Sander supporters say this too, is to make people believe they are powerless, the deck is stacked against them, and the government is the enemy. Meanwhile, Trump dismantles financial and environmental regulations, depopulates the State Department, and ignites little dumpster fires about professional sports stars and misunderstood Nazis, while the country faces major rebuilding costs after unprecedented natural (and possibly human-influenced) disasters.

Trump really strengthened Kaepernick's civil rights stand. Two teams had a lot of players kneeling together today.

I approve of the people who held their noses and voted for than just the name at the top of the ticket. Which is what many evangelicals did. Can't say the same for the sulkers who gave us Gorsuch for the next twenty years.

Yeah — the Tea Partiers, the Trump supporters, and the alt-right.

@Lash,
Happiness can’t be won at the ballot box Lash.

There are injustices (although compared to the rest of the world, not really) that can of course be improved on. But even if you had point of service free healthcare for pennies on the dollar, and black/white rich/poor people were prosecuted at the same rates...it won’t make you happy. Only you can do that for yourself.

Also, perspective is required and many in our country lack perspective

Is Kaepernick sulking?
