All these statements from people familiar with the matter is just more detritus being swept along by the tsunami.

Good point, Finn. But another point is revealed here, assuming there is any truth at all to these "reports:"

Quote:
Five people briefed on the requests, who spoke on condition of anonymity....The investigation has been cloaked in secrecy and it’s unclear how many others have been questioned by the FBI.

Cloaked in secrecy, eh? Yet no less than FIVE "insiders" are leaking this to Wapo? It's no longer a "leak." The dyke has clean busted and no boy with his thumb is gunna do the trick to stop it.

Trump needs to start kicking some serious ass at the FBI (or wherever). How many people could possibly have been "briefed on the requests" that are "cloaked in secrecy?" These leaks shouldn't be hard to run down.

@blatham,
I wasn't associated with Berkeley. I think went to Peet's near there, some time later, but I was long interested, as I went to a similar school. I remember a lot of the Mario Savio stuff, slightly after my time. I was associated via one of our employees. I miss him now, funny man, many decades later. We didn't dislike our employee.

Un-be-frikking-lievable. They're blaming "the left" for creating a violent atmosphere.

Well yes. Clearly we need to ban the Democratic Party before they do any further harm to people.

But did they blame Trump for encouraging acts of violence and promising to pay legal fees for those committing them? It isn't even dignified enough to be called hypocrisy. No words.

If Leftist thugs start a fight at a Trump rally, who can blame people for roughing them up a bit? People are sick and tired of these Democrats.

@oralloy,
what happened today is an outgrowth of extreme obsessions in our political beliefs. He was sorta a "we hqve to outlaw the GOP " type.
From whatever side that kind of insane obsession comes, it needs to be reigned IN by us all.

First time Id seen any collegial statements from congress people since the days of Reagan and Tip O Neil

@oralloy,
Both Comey and his successor (and longtime confidant), McCabe, have assured congress that Comey's firing in NO WAY impeded or ended the collusion investigation. Comey was not, and never was, the person doing the investigating to begin with.

Yet congress, presumably Mueller, and every cheese-eater here wants to pretend that removing him "interfered" with it.

As many, including you and a prominent left-wing law professor, have pointed out, there would be no crime EVEN IF Trump had directly ordered Comey to drop the investigation (which he didn't). If the special prosecutor is indeed investigating this as a "crime," then it's obviously a partisan witch hunt.

It's long past due for Sessions to procure indictments against Clinton and Loretta Lynch (for starters). That would change the "narrative" and give the cheese-eaters something to bitch about 24/7 that actually concerns them.

@McGentrix,
I think we should outlaw both sides of the same coin. Wink Maybe we should break out the guillotines ?

@camlok,
Yes and no. I agree that the suggestion is irrational, although I certainly don't disagree with the sentiments underlying it.

I just look at the constant repetition as a "signature" line, and don't pay any attention to it.
