@revelette1,
Home secretary, not interior minister. She was in charge when the police numbers were cut back. This is from 2012.

Quote:
The home secretary, Theresa May, had to endure heckling and jeering by rank and file police officers as she defended 20% funding cuts to policing and reforms to their pay and conditions.

May's 25-minute set-piece speech to the 1,200 strong Police Federation conference in Bournemouth ended in complete silence.

But she had to sit stony-faced through huge cheers and applause when one officer told her she was "a disgrace" and was no longer trusted by the police, and she was heckled when she promised not to privatise the police. "You already are," shouted one officer.

When May took to the stage at the Bournemouth conference centre she was greeted by a sea of banners saying "Enough is enough" and "20% cuts are criminal" held up by the audience of 1,200 officers. The home secretary had already taken pre-emptive steps to ensure she did not have to deliver her speech in front of a conference backdrop saying "20% cuts are criminal".

@layman,
Says the supporter of a long line of war criminals and terrorists.

Trump will likely murder more innocent people, it's just what US presidents do.

Fuckin-A he will. All muslims are "innocent people," right?

Carcasses of dead muslim ass will litter the country-side like pebbles of sand on a beach by the time he's through.

It's pointless to try and get JTT/camlok to actually tell you anything about himself. I've been trying for weeks and all he does it turn it around into some of his stylized anti-US propaganda.

I'm pretty sure the American progressive left is mostly pushing for an investigation to see what happened.

There are enough questions that have been raised by the US intelligence agencies and by illegally undisclosed contact with Russian officials that they simply want an investigation to go forth.

Nonsense. The Left don't care at all about Russia. All they want to do is damage the Trump Administration by prosecuting them for any little offense that they can find or concoct.

The investigation by Nunes in the house started as a complete farce, hence the push for an outside investigation.

The Nunes committee became a complete farce because the Democrats sabotaged it with the goal of making it a farce.

And had they wanted an investigation to see what happened, they would have pushed for an independent committee. They did not. They pushed for a special prosecutor.

That is because the only thing they care about is damaging people with a witch hunt.

I personally only care about hurting Trump with this issue. I think some on the left, maybe a majority, care about Russia. I don't see why even more couldn't care about both Russia and want to hurt Trump at the same time.

Hurting your opposition is what politics is all about. You don't get pissed when Republicans do it, why are you so pissed when Democrats do it?

I really think you have a cognitive disconnect where you see the Republicans actions as all good and the Democrats actions as all evil.

I think I see calls for an independent investigation. The Republican appointed deputy attorney general appointed a special prosecutor. No way you can push that on the Democrats. Trumps guy did it.

As guilty as were the German people for allowing the murders, the rapes, the genocide, the ... .

The huge difference is that the German people were under a dictator while you are supposedly a free people, the ones that control your governments - or so you are told.

Another huge difference is the German people seem to have learned their lesson, while the American people have been supporting the evil ongoing for well over two centuries, all the while hiding the evil behind a pastiche of lies about being kind and benevolent.

This is where you keep losing people camlok...and honestly, where my conversation with you on this issue stops.

You could be so much more effective at getting your point across if you'd stop with this hyperbolic bullshit.

I agree with those muslims about not turning terrorists into the authorities, actually.

I mean, think about it, eh?

Suppose that you were looking at a terrorists 5 feet in front of you with a loaded double-barrelled sawed-off shotgun in your mitts, eh?

Are you gunna make a citizen's arrest, then "call the authorities," or just squeeze-off both barrels and be done with it?

Easy question, aint it?

Y'all are missing the REAL point, eh? To wit: Bin Ladin was framed for 9/11 and Bush done it all.

Aint that right, Cammie?

@snood,
If I may attempt:

I think his/her (camlok) point is, most of us just plain don't want to get bogged down into US international war crimes or aggression discussions. He/she probably knows if he/she devoted a thread to it, it would die out from lack of discussion. Not sure why, there are a lot of people who seem to agree with him/her on the subject of the US war crimes/aggression.

In terms of comparison, the US is a relative newer nation. If you look at the beginnings of other nations, they were probably just as aggressive too. I read a lot of medieval novels and if the histories are correct on most of them, all the European countries were pretty aggressive in those days. I also see his point about the US mixing ourselves up with the ME all the time and interfering with those countries.

In any event, this discussion of which I am actually intellectually ignorant really don't belong on this thread and in my opinion camlok should "cease and desist." (laugh at myself, don't really use that language in real life..)

Cammie seems to have learned all he "knows" by reading Chomsky and ISIS websites on the internet in his Mom's basement, eh?

Chomsky:

Quote:
"I don’t accept the view that we can just condemn the NLF terror, period, because it was so horrible. There are real arguments also in favor of the Viet Cong terror, arguments that can't be lightly dismissed.”

"It was necessary to break the bonds of passivity that made them totally incapable of political action. And if violence does move the peasantry to the point where it can overcome bondage, then I think there's a pretty strong case for it."

“If it were true that the consequences of not using terror would be that the peasantry in Vietnam would continue to live in the state of the peasantry of the Philippines, then I think the use of terror would be justified.

Here's the traitorous Chomsky, hero and virtual saint to the left-wingers, talking in Viet Nam during the war:

Quote:
"This is my first visit to Vietnam. Nevertheless, since the moment when we arrived at the airport at Hanoi, I've had a remarkable and very satisfying feeling of being entirely at home...

The people of Vietnam will win, they must win, because your cause is the cause of humanity as it moves forward toward liberty and justice, toward the socialist society in which free, creative men control their own destiny.”

"We are deeply grateful to you that you permit us to be part of your brave and historical struggle....many Americans who wish you success and who detest with all of their being the hateful activities of the American government."

Noam Chomsky, originally delivered on April 13, 1970 in Hanoi while he was visiting North Vietnam... Broadcast by Radio Hanoi on April 14

Nothing these cheese-eaters would love to see more than the destruction of the USA.
