Psst osso - put an i in square brackets in front of whatever you want to italicize, and a /i in square brackets behind whatever you want to italicize.

I don't think I have that squiggly thing to complete the italics. You mean to tell me that my computer is that outdated? Crying or Very sad

If all else fails, Raggedyaggie, do it the easy way. Use the 'reply' button instead of 'Quick Reply'. Highlight what you want to put in italics and click the i box at the top of the reply form. Same works for color and font size by the way. Just be sure the whole section you want is completely highlighted.

I check abuzz out, a couple of times each day. On occassion there may be one or two good posts. As far as politics is concerned, I was a democrat when I joined abuzz 2.5 years ago. I am NOW a conservative republican.

Was it abuzz? Could be!

New Haven- You make a very interesting point. When a person is interacting with people from all over the world, a person gets a much broader perspective than he would get with interactions just with family, friends and collegues. There is a far larger pool of people with whom to interact, and therefore a person is bombarded with many diverse ideas. I think that that is very healthy.

Abuzz is getting what it deserves considering they treat us like red-headed step children.

I love this place!!!!

But, I will still check in on abuzz, at least as long as it is around.

First, I want to offer a special thanks to Craven, and to the rest of the Moderators and forum guides, for their herculean efforts to make this site what it is ... in the short time I've been here, this has become far and away my favorite web forum, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that sentiment. I'm still learning how things work, I've renewed aquaintances I'd thought lost, and I make new cyber-freinds every day.

With that said, I still visit Abuzz, and interact. I do choose the threads I visit with a bit of care, and avoid those started by or populated with the more egregieously looney, but I enjoy Abuzz and will likely continue to participate there for the forseeable future. Abuzz has become sorta like hunting frogs; you have to wade through an awfiul lot of swamp before you find something worth keeping, but the good stuff is there if you look for it. You gotta remember to clean off your boots when you're done, though.

So, I guess that makes me "Bi-Postal"! [/i] Rolling Eyes
