The New York Yankees

I agree that the Yankees will have their collective hands full with Boston this year. In fact, I think that Boston might have the more talented team overall. But the thing to keep in mind is that the Yankees capitalize on opportunities and on the mistakes of others. They are coached not to swing at bad pitches, which is one of the reasons why opposing pitchers run into trouble with high pitch counts. The Yankees find ways to win. Not always pretty. Not always the same way. But they find ways. And they believe they can win. No small thing.

I'm greatly looking forward to the playoff with Boston. Should be interesting--a mild word for the match-up.

Right on! This is gonna be a classic series...I hope.
May the best team win because St Louis is peaking.

Hey Pan, If it's half as exciting as last year's playoffs, I'm gonna have to get some tranquilizers. Can't take the tension--and the intensity.

(BTW, when the football Giants played the Bills in the Super Bowl, I actually did take a tranquilizer during the game. Good thing, too, or I might have missed the final field goal, which, as a matter of fact, was missed. Sorry for the digression.)

I guess the NYY-Boston rivalry has an appeal beyond the Northeast, though I must admit I'm getting a little tired of it. Or maybe just tired of the usual outcome...

On a brighter note, how about those Braves! Though I doubt, if they win tonight, they'll get past St. Louis. Now there's a line-up!

there are certain constants in the universe.

Sun will always rise in the east.
The tides will rise and fall as always.

What has changed in the universe that would make anyone think the outcome will be any different then it has always been????

Panzade - Spamming??? I am speaking factually here.

Spamming is sending "nonsense" through the 'net.

So who really is spamming here? Me or you.!!!

Well Panzade. I believe the message works in both posts. Plus , it really is no fun posting that on the Yankee post. Everyone will agree!!

It is better to banter this about with someone from an opposing point of view (or maybe a different reality?).

Holy you-know-what! You can always count on a series between NY and Boston to not be dull. How's that for understatement.

Way I see it, the Yankees better not lose any home games if they want to go to the series this year.
