The Yankees are a hell of a team, kicky. The amount of weapons in that lineup is staggering.

Congratulations.

But as of this minute.... I am a Red Sox fan.

no edgar, I was quoting Country Joe and awaiting a series that is sure to draw boffo participation on a BoSox-Yankees thread. Bring 'em on.

I know. I was attempting to be, how shall I put it, like Gus.

LOL, a flood of thoughts:

no one can be like Gus-thank God!

you're too too earnest to emulate him- a quality that serves you so well on the threads that have some imortance and weight.

I'll give it a shot:

Panzade, searching through Google I find that you've started a Tampa Bay Devil Ray fan club.
I would love to join as I feel they are the premier team in MLB and Lou will soon bring them to the World Series. Go Devil Rays!

It exists only to assist the Yankees and Bosox in padding their win column.

I watched the Yanks win Friday and was impressed. Seems their weak pitching is being overcome with torrid hitting. Looks to be a good match...any thoughts edgar?

I think they better take the Red Sox very seriously, because they won in four games and they had to fight very hard indeed to win two of them. Good as they are, they possibly can be beaten this year.

That's rough. Well, time will tell. Incidentally, I have nothing against the Mets. Being a westerner and southwesterner most of my life, I don't really know a thing about them.

The Mets train down the road from me about a mile or so. Got to meet Strawberry when he was just starting his cocaine addiction...he was a fun guy but very screwed up. Met Tom Glavine this spring in a shopping mall. The Mets contribute to our local economy so they're welcomed, although they seem to get in a lot of trouble with young girls.
