Yes. And just last week, I cursed death upon puppies. What do you know, I heard a few died today?

It's gonna be the Twins vs. the Red Sox, panzade.

The Red Sox will beat the Twins with relative ease, and then contine on to win the World Series.

Mark my words.

The Yankees will win it in 5. 'Nuff said.

The Twins are toast, kicky.

The Yankees are a far superior team.

One thing for certain, as Slappy knowledgeably pointed out - The team that outplays the others is the one that wins. I want the Yanks to win, but if it turns out that it's over when it's over, I can be a man and not kill anybody over it.

Jeez, how did I miss this thread? One of my favorite topics, for sure...

I grew up in NY but have rooted against NYY since I was a mere slip of a lad. Had something to do with not getting along with my father, a big Yankee fan, but this is neither the time nor place for that kind of talk. Anyhow, then, as now, they won most of the time.

"How can you root against a team?," he'd ask me incredulously. "Just watch me," I said to myself, and I've been loyal to the cause ever since.

So, go Twins! If a team with a payroll about 75% lower can beat NYY, it would r-e-a-l-l-y sweet.

Yeah, you guys can sit at Gus's in front of the six tv screens and watch the Yankees and the debate and Joanie Loves Chachi all at the same time.

The Twins had their spirit broken tonight, you could see it in their faces. The Yanks will wrap up the series.
