@tsarstepan,
Not enough to count as a pointless answer unfortunately. Although the host's album is. I just love this Quiz show.

@tsarstepan,
You're both right. If I remember correctly, Goldblum didn't get credit in the film's credits.....When I noticed him I could only confirm my suspicions on IMBD.

I was unaware of a color version of Lord of the Flies, until just now. I came in on it at the point where Ralph and Piggy go to demand Piggy's specs. They called them "glasses." In fact, they all spoke proper American English.

@djjd62,
They've found cinematic ways to project him as a big lug.

@djjd62,
Manchester isn't by the sea which is why the Manchester ship canal was built. I agree the film's title is a bloody piss take.

Turner Classic Movies has started a feature they call Noir Alley.

http://noiralley.tcm.com/

A week ago they played The Maltese Falcon. Yesterday they played Detour. Next Sunday they are supposed to be playing Act of Violence (although at the moment my satellite on-screen guide doesn't agree with that, and I hope the problem gets resolved by Sunday).

So, I recently saw Detour and The Maltese Falcon.

If anyone happens to be interested, according to my satellite on-screen guide they are rerunning The Maltese Falcon midday Wednesday the 15th, and rerunning Detour late Tuesday the 21st.

Noir Alley is a great new show Oralloy.
I'm glad you brought it up.
Detour is a fascinating flick and I'm looking forward to more of these classics.

Rewatch of Cloverfield (2008)

Watched it for the first time with the Rifftrax commentary.

Even with the great running Rifftrax commentary, I didn't expect to be so darn rattled by rewatching the film.

About 9 years since seeing it. Maybe because I ate too much chicken and rice from the nearby gyro restaurant but I will not be surprised if I get a few nightmares between tonight and the rest of the week.
