Absolute NO! Wellington is thought to be closer to landfall than Boca...then again who knows?...women!
Thanks Panzade, that is what I thought.
Take extra care, panzade & Letty.
Thanks MsO
Hanging out staring at my supplies.
So now it's just waiting?
Colorbook: Wellington is very far West compared to Boca though... if the dwelling is stronger, it's probably a good move. Wellington is a relatively new, high end for the most part community where most of the houses are probably built to "Keys codes". Barring a crazy flood, she should be fine.
Glad to hear the family is fine Panz. We've still got a beautiful day going here, but the clouds over head are moving quickly in a strange direction.
Ditto...far off in the distance..a dog is barking
letty, I only know that when we went to flagler, we flew into Gainseville and headed east. Its pretty far north .
'The sound of the continually barking distant dog was truncated by a pain filled "yip" as some tortured soul kicked the beast."
Letty, this storm is probably going to intensify again. I hope your heading for the high ground pronto.
The only high ground in Florida is Mt Trashmore, a land fill.
If it means anything Panz, we're praying for all in Florida...esp. you!
That makes Georgia sound all the more reasonable.
wanting this hurricane to weaken and weaken and weaken and go away
What a remarkable community we have here, you don't know how much comfort I derive from it.
I feel sorry for those in Fort Pierce and St Lucie. Thats where they have the thing forecast to go now and the margin of error will be going down as it gets closer.
Panzade, if I could have things my way, I'd make everybody call me to check in. I know that I won't feel easy til I know how everyone is come Sunday and Monday.
El-Diablo - you may not have caught that we've got a friend in St. Lucie on this thread.
morning - hey Letty and all!
Thanks OB, she did say the dwelling is much stronger than the average home. However she worried that it was in a low lying area and would probably be subject to much flooding...but she would rather wade in water than to have the roof blown off over her head.
