Googled "Bush chimp" and got 80,000 hits. what's that prove? A lot of people don't like Bush.

Googled "Bush Hero" and got 911,000 hits. Huh. Didn't expect that many.

How many of those hero hits were about GWbush?

I'm willing to bet on the number of chimp hits that referred to him specifically.....

Of the first ten google bush/hero sites, only one put forth the idea that bush is a hero...and that was just some guy on a discussion thread like these.....

Right, Bi-Polar -- just scanning the first two pages there's mostly derogatory "Bush hero" stuff. So 900,000 plus should likely reveal little in respectable journals stating anything about any heroic action. Maybe he could say he was disguised as Ahnold and was the real hero in saving the "drowning" man in Hawaii (who had a surfboard to float back to shore).

Interesting take, there, Harper. I saw Matthews and Hurley as rude and overbearing, interupting and shouting over O'Neil, who remained calm, civil, and on-point.

Sort of a Bill O'reily style interview, eh? I never see you guys complaining when he does this to liberals....

I love the way this got changed to Bush using cocaine. On that issue Bush didn't use cocaine and it has never been proven. There was a guy who tried to write a book about it but when people started checking his sources there were none. So as far as the real world is concerned Bush never used cocaine.

Now back to the issue of the thread. The reason we never complain about O'Reilly doing this is because he keeps people on tract and doesn't let them spin, hence the reason why it is called the no spin zone. I won't say Bill doesn't shout at people but it is only when they are yelling as well. From what I have heard about this interview O'Neil didn't raise his voice and kept his calm.

It's now being reported Kerry "remembers" that he was in Cambodia in January 1969, not December 1968, even though it was "seared" in his brain.

Christmas eve in January? What a crock!

What else is "seared" in his brain that's completely wrong????

Speaking of "seared into someone's brain", I find it odd that a guy who treated many vets for many injuries can remember the exact size of the shrapnel he removed from Kerry's leg in what he described as a minor wound. What a lying piece of ****.

You would be amazed at what people can remember from war time.

I saw a story once about a cop who pulled someone over and the guy who was pulled over started acting weird. Well the cop pulled the guy out of his car and started to ask him questions. Well it turned out that the cop had been a chopter pilot in Nam and the guy he pulled over was injured and being transported to a med unit. The guy who was hurt only saw the guy for about 2 minutes but his image was burned into his brain and he remembered the guy 30 years later. I would call that pretty amazing.

Have you ever served in the military? Most units have their own medical people assigned to their units. In a place like Nam the units were quite small and they all knew each other.

Well, you see, it really depends on what your definition of the word "seared" is.

I guess the word "seared" as in ..." I have that memory which is seared--seared--in me" has a different definition now. It must have seared into his memory on the wrong date.

What got changed, this rumor about where Kerry was and what he said. Guess what? No one cares, (except for freepers who are making this claim and dittoheads) it is inconsequential.

Guess what? So far as the real world goes, Kerry didn't lie about being in Cambodia.

memories of war in Vietnam--well most everyone I knew was too stoned to remember much of anything but hey, I wasn't an officer, they were usually too drunk to remember much either.
