I'm picking the Seahawks over the Panthers. This will either blow my
bracket out of the water right away or put me in a very strong position.

@JPB,
Ha, I just noticed that my odd picks from now on agree with yours. This was my least time ever for thinking about it. So.. good luck to you, JPB.

Ah, and Lmur's too.

It amazed me that such a huge market had no NFL franchise for so long.

Who's footing the bill for the stadium?

@George,
It's going to be interesting to see how much support the Rams get in L.A. One of the reasons franchises left the area is that the Hispanic population has become so large that soccer became the "football" sport of choice. Also, I can pretty much guarantee your that the Rams and/or NFL will not pay for the stadium...that will fall on the taxpayers. Which ones are yet to be seen. When Seattle built their new stadium, they actually passed a statewide bond, simply because the population base in dominated by the left coast. As a result, people in Spokane and along the Idaho border are having to pay for Seattle's infrastructure. That hasn't been real well received in the eastern part of the state, but there isn't a damned thing they can do about it.

@CowDoc,
Houston taxpayers funded the NRG stadium. I was dead against it, because there is no payback when we do that.

You don't see private funding of a stadium very often. I know the Krafts
did Foxborough. I can't think of any others.

If the Chargers move to LA also, I guess they would have to share a stadium
with the Rams. Be interesting to see how that works out.

Very nice, but why have a domed stadium in LA?

Last time I was in Long Beach, not so far from LA, it rained, all day long, every day I was there.

@George,
We're still in a draught. The reservoirs are still low.
