@msolga,
Oh, Ms. Olga, I'm fine today, but the past week I was in such
agony, and needed attention by the veterinarian.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v188/nekonomad/nekonomad0335A.jpg

[You see, my pain was coming from an infected cat bite. It was Murphy, from
two doors away.
Anyway, I was rushed to the vet when the Nomads realized I needed attention. Here is what that bite looked
like after we returned home.

Thanks to antibiotics and daily cleansing with hydrogen peroxide, here's how that bite looked
three days later.

Believe me, I'm the happiest cat in the neighborhood. And I owe Murphy
a return favor. He thinks our backyard is his.

And how are you these days, hmm?
Miss Mollie

@neko nomad,
Dear Miss Mollie,

I'm saddened to hear of your recent troubles. That was a very nasty wound you had there! I'm so glad you received all the necessary treatment & TLC to make such a quick recovery.

But I'm a little confused here. I thought Murphy, from two doors away, was friendly & always welcome visitor to your place? So he's turned rather nasty, has he? Pretty ungrateful, if you ask me!

Quite a few years back, one of my dear cats, Mozzie (Mozz for short) had a similar unpleasant experience to yours. Except it took us longer to figure out what had happened, poor thing. She became quite depressed after that & lost all interest in the great outdoors for a while. We had to coax her along a bit, one person gently pushing here through the window to the outside, the other gently catching her to run around a bit. But after a few days of this she was fine & bounced back to her old self!

I hope you are bouncing back to your old self, too, Mollie. And I hope Murphy has found another yard more enticing than yours since the incident.

How am I these days? Pretty good really. Thank you for asking. Ms Poppy, too. I feel as though I might be getting a bit of a cold & I'm hoping positive thinking might ward it off.

Here's hoping you continue to recover in leaps & bounds! Keep taking your medicine if you need to. And be grateful you have those loyal Nomad folk to look after you! Smile

Love,
Ms Olga

So may I as anyone here (who cares to tell) how are you going?
How are you traveling these days?
Smooth riding or rocky?
Or maybe something in between?

Me, little hints of autumn in the air always make me a bit melancholy.
But not in a big, dramatic way, mind. Just quietly so.

Oh, Ms.Olga, the nomad woke me up to tell me
you asked after me. So sweet of you to ask!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v188/nekonomad/nekonomad0383A.jpg

When it's so hot outside, you know the best thing for
a senior cat such as myself is to stay indoors. So far
it's another futon day.

How're things in the land down under, hm ?

@neko nomad,
Surprised

Very Happy

Ah, neko chan, it is so lovely to see you
again!
I must say you are in extremely fine form! It must be your genes!

Yes, best to stay indoors in such hideous weather, I say. It preserves one's complexion & one's serenity. These things are not to be sneezed at.

Things in Oz are pretty good. Thank you for asking.
Ms Poppy (who is fighting fit! Though she has been complaining about the cold weather lately ... ) sends her regards to you & to neko nomad.
As do I, of course.

Stay happy & healthy, my dear.

Much love to you,
msolga

@msolga,
Oh, msOlga, we still miss Mitsu dreadfully, and discussing her is sure to choke me up. Amazing as to how losing such a small retirng personality can wield such a grip of grief on the mind. All the while she was around, she'd keep to herself, didn't complain if if I was too slow to place food in her dish, etc: minimal presence, if you may. It's tapering off, though.
Miss Molly moved in quickly to fill the gap - no surprise there- not a shrinking violet at all. Kinda like velcro. Nekochan seems happy enough with the extra lap time : one less individual to keep in line sort of thing, like a true house matron.

Yes, I know. This will take quite a bit of getting used to, neko.
Thinking of you this morning & hoping you are feeling a little less sad.

It's good to hear that Miss Molly & Nekochan are adjusting so well, though.
Please give both of them a big under-the-chin scritch & also a head rub from me. (But I know you'll do that anyway, without my asking you to.) Smile

@msolga,
I'm not amazed.

In a way, it's a good thing, but it's very hard at the time.

Well, you know that.

Another of Mitsu's exclusive locations was the catnip toy basket.

Rest peacefully, Mitsu.

(And now I'm going to have to investigate Thornton Wilder, neko. Smile )

@cicerone imposter,
That post you responded to, c.i., was way back in 2004.(I'm sure you know that.)
I just reread it & it made me smile, too.

@msolga,
MsO:
this movie clip gives a narrative of The Resting Place On The Hill, in "Our Town". I believe it's act 3 in the stage version. You may want to take some time to watch all parts of the story, a classic taught - or was taught - in high school. It's quite poignant.
