Hehe.... I actually read Desolation Angels when I was travelling down the Pan-American Highway. I thought that was really fitting, in an odd way. And slightly less depressing than Bukowsky.

However, first Kerouac was "On the Road". Back in high school.

<sigh>

So how are YOU today?
I'm having to fend off the green-eyed monster, within as well as without. It's a terrible feeling... I don't like it.

The Chinese say that if you face the dragon it will disappear. But the melancholy is larger than the dragon. So I perform a marathon posting session in an attempt to slay it.

Dys was right, for sure,
There is no cure.
All I can do now is step back and let the universe take the reins.
No more games.
My ears were made to hear, my eyes were made for sight of direct type.
Good-night, sweet dreams...

Feeling much better than I have, for something like 8 (?) days .....
I've been under the evil spell of some lethal bug doing the rounds at work & generally flying all around the place of late. No fun!: extreme tiredness, head aches, dizziness, gastric discomfort & extremely sallow & worn out appearance >>> "You look AWFUL, msolga!!" (yeah, I know! Sad )
So it's really rather nice to have some energy back, a little colour in my face again & to feel less wobbly on my feet! Very Happy

Unlike me, the weather is a bit cloudy.

But it will be bright shortly.

Anyway, Paris is always lovely

As a matter of fact, I'm preparing for a long trip abroad, leaving in a very few days...a bit excited though.

What again, Francis? Surprised
Are you in competition with c.i. to become the most jet-setting A2Ker? I'm very jealous!
Lucky you!
Business or pleasure?
Are you telling where to? Or is it a secret?

We met initially on the internet (she's from Thailand). I went to Thailand to meet 7 ladies in total. Fell in love with her. I took her on holidays with me in February, where we were together 24/7 for the whole month, and the parting when we both had to go home was very hard. She knows I'm not wealthy, and hasn't once asked me for any money. I met some of her relatives that live close to Bangkok. Very nice people, and not poor like many Thai's are.
I'm 40, she's 35, and we both want to have children as soon as possible (understandable, considering our ages).
I'm starting the process to bring her to Australia.

I'm having trouble with my photo's page at the moment. Once it's working, I'll post some pics.

Well, congratulations, Wilso!
And the best of luck with the Oz Immigration authorities, too. It's such a process these days! Rolling Eyes
