@puzzledperson,
IF you are talking about what Finn wrote...why not use Finn. Using FA can cause some misunderstandings.

I think we may be missing the point that the entire globe is under siege by disaffected anarchists. religious extremists, and assorted nutbags drawn to the violence and mayhem. I don't have a solution but I know we can't allow world leaders to sit on their butts and wait for everything to shake out.

Freedom is imperiled by looking the other way. Maybe it happens in Greece, (great, at least it wasn't us) or Malaysia (great, it didn't happen to us) perhaps it's the Canadian Parliament, (great, it didn't happen to us), or the US, ( those assholes deserve it, and thank god it wasn't us) or perhaps Paris, (Great, it didn't happen to us) or Russian Airliners, (they stepped on their dicks there, but at least it wasn't us).

Its way past time folks, we have to stop thinking of ourselves as special or protected because the world is on fire and we need to put out the inferno.

"It is only a few nuts" is the BULLSHIT the elite try to slide past us to try to divert us from the cause of the problem, which is poor systems and policies put in place by the elite, the inability of the elite to tell the differences between what matters and what does not matter as well as a general policy of the elite to continually juice systems for the results they want without any consideration towards risk. The fact that they bankrupted themselves by continually deciding that the ends justify the means is just extra credit towards their incompetence and decrepit morality.

WAKE THE **** UP PEOPLE!

Who bankrupted whom? The GFC was orchestrated to further centralise their power base, and take over as many smaller "concerns" as possible in the shortest possible time frame.

The old TBTF rort opened the coffers of the taxpayer to the bankster's chronic gambling habits, ensuring them of casino playing table where even when they lost, they'd get another crack at winning again, at the public's expense.

If there's any waking up to be done, it's in your feeble head, man.

None of your response has anything to do with what I said. Would you like a do over? I suspect that you have no clue how this art of conversation works.

@hawkeye10,
I read the thread. You seem to think the "elite" might be D Trump and Hillary whatshername.

Kinda funny watching your attempts at rhetoric. But at the same time, not.

Let's be clear, you are all bullshit almost all the time.

I am a former revolutionary and let me tell you as clear as humanly possible dont upu dare think that you blow me away with your Madonna/Lady Gaga act,with your calculated act of being one degree more outrageous than the rest to get attention.

Posers like you are a dime a dozen.

You need evidence to back your claims, sunshine.

I'd have to wonder where you find time to do anything, seeing as how we find you here almost 24/7.

You think this posting business is activism?

Really?

Another desperate attempt to deviate out of the business at hand, namely that you are full of ****.

I can and I will out suborn you but go ahead and try me. I have been a bit bored lately, since my business failed, I would welcome the challenge. I need something interesting to do.

@hawkeye10,
Then get it on.

I'm still working in the renovations game, as well as building our own home.

Time isn't something I have a lot of.

That was more or less the percentage of French people who was supporting a ground assault last June, BEFORE the attacks... It's 85% now.

@ossobuco,
Forgot to translate the legend but i'm sure you get it. Black spots show the number of people from each nation that went to fight for ISIS (only countries with more than 50 foreign fighters are shown). Green countries with grey diamonds are those with jihadist movements having pledged allegiance to ISIS (solid lines) or considering doing so (doted lines). Data from January 2015.

I agree. Recently the US bombed a Medecins Sans Frontiere hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan, killing a few French and Afghan doctors and staff.

It's also quite ineffective as a stand-alone approach, which is why I would much prefer a ground assault, prepared as it should be by well-targeted bombing...

Letting IS grow and prosper is the last thing the entire world needs.

I see your point, given there be no bungling - not easy, I suppose - and no overdoing, also not easy.

I prefer people be de-radicalized in other ways, as in real conversations with regular muslims and even us - I guess that's the Ghandi approach - but it is quite late and time matters. The money business Puzzled remarked on, assuming it's all true, is a big problem. Not that that is all one sided.
