I finally decided to get involved again after this thread no longer held any interest for me when juvenile behavior took over. I've posted three pieces I wrote several years ago that seem relevant to the dispute. They are posted under philosophy in the "appearance" thread.

BBB, could you be more specific about what behavior you felt was juvenile?
Asherman was kind enough to invite me to the SW "gathering" some weeks ago. My on line experience is a bit limited compared to most here and I had little idea of just what such an event might be. I did consider attending if I could align the event with other commitments, but uncertainty and little things got in the way.
I have read most of the early pages in this thread and have come to regret that I did not attend. The dialogue (and the photos) were reminders of the real people behind the names and personas. They added depth and a human touch to a host of impressions left over from other posts and other dialogues. Mostly though they left me with the impression of very interesting and agreeable individuals whom I truly regret missing a chance to meet and get to know, if only a little. Just the superficial impressions I got here will alter the character of my interactions with all of you. Hell, I'll even make it a point to be agreeable with Blatham.

That was the way of it. There really are very few people I bump into in life on a person to person basis whom I dislike. These were all kind and thoughtful people.
