And having decided that seatbelts have been good the march continues to remove control of the auto from the humans who own and drive them. The re was just in the last month an announcement that almost all cars will now come with systems that will brake the car irregardless of driver input when the computer decides that the driver has been irresponsible. What is next?

Carson was not comparing our current situation to Nazi germany, he was saying that having wide gun ownership is the prophylactic to American getting into the Nazi Germany situation. Did you see today the report that the scientists dont know how much of climate change is due to fossil fuel burning and how much is due to loss of plant life? So long as the planet is overpopulated with people even a global government can not stop the decline in planet greenery. Unless Obama and his ilk are ready to talk about human population limits I dont figure there is any point in yakking about human caused climate change, nothing can be done about it. THere were almost no guns in german citizen hands prior to the Nazi's, and not many more by the time that guns became unobtainable to german citizens. Your dog does not hunt.

Even in 1935, Jews could get weapon permits: Der Reichsminister des Innern, Betrifft: Schußwaffengesetz, I A 6310/19.6, 7.7.33. BA 13 Berlin, R 43 II/399.

That only changed after the new Nazi-law in 1938 [Reichsgesetzblatt 1938, I, 265] (which actually gave every German citizen in any uniform to right to get weapons and all other restrictions were weakened as well)

Comparing life before 1939 and use Hitler as a bad example for gun control is not really very realistic.
Before guncontrol in Europe - at least most countries - guns were more or less only in the hands of country people who reallyl needed them.
They were hunting, needed to shot an animal on the farm.
They did not have arsenals of guns and handguns or expecting to shot anyone coming on their properties.
So guncontrol did not change much for the citizens at all. The people in the countryside still have hunting guns and the city people do not feel they need them.

That's an indication of how desperate they are. The facts are all against them. All this nonsense about the Nazis has drawn severe criticism from Holocaust survivors groups. The Nazis relied on lax gun laws to arm their stormtroopers, and the Tea Party is so very similar to the brownshirts of the 1930s.
