@Ragman,
Fair enough, but when did that ever stop A2K in engaging in discussion of murders when the murderer was thought to be a right-wing kook?
If you find it too raw, I can certainly respect that, but I just don't think that's a common reaction here. Not based on the past.
I only care about his race, sexual orientation and politics to the extent that they belie the typical, knee-jerk reaction of liberals to one of these crimes.
He's an exception to the rules of America. If he wasn't, these horrible incidents would be happening daily. We have over 300 million people in this country and some of them are bound to be bent. When they decide that they need to kill to make a point they take on a significance far beyond what they, statistically, deserve, and that's because innocent lives were snuffed and any right minded individual finds that horrible.
Imagine a world where this is common place to the extent no one takes an interest.
Not too hard to do so though: Think Chicago, Baltimore, St Louis et al. African-American citizens of these cities are being murdered just about every day, but does it make the News? Not even in these cities.
A white cop kills a black suspect though and it commands 24/7 attention and leads to local riots. That the shooting may be righteous is immaterial.
Something is really wrong in this country when politics supercedes basic decencesy
A black woman in St Louis goes on YouTube to bemoan the fact that her "people" are rioting over a white cop killing a drug dealer who pulled a gun on him and are absolutely silent about the death of a young girl who was killed by a black on black drive by shooting; while she was doing homework in her room, and she is denounced as a "House Nigger."
I don't care what anyone's politics are. If they can't see how f*cked up this is they are brainless.
