OK,
that I call humor
(part of the 'Calimero'-syndrome I guess).
That´s no humor.....
So well, Holland: Is as far as I know a "district" of the Netherlands. Ok, it´s a not good name for the whole country.
Of course it's humor
Concerning 'Holland': the Netherlands has twelve provinces. Two of them are called Noord-Holland (North-Holland) and Zuid-Holland (South-Holland). Now, as someone from the province of Noord-Brabant (North-Brabant; (South-) Brabant lies in Belgium), I believe the name 'Holland' is actually discriminating. A lot of Dutch will probably say that's overreacting; I believe however that 'Holland' only refers to the northern (Protestant) provinces in the Netherlands, and NOT to the two southern (Catholic) provinces, Noord-Brabant and Limburg.
